Stanley Ho East Asia College (SHEAC) of the University of Macau (UM) and Qidi College of Tongji University officially established a sister college relationship on April 22, 2026. The signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on educational cooperation was presided over by Prof. Kathy Luo, Master of SHEAC, and Prof. Yin Xuefeng, Executive Dean of Qidi College, in the presence of UM faculty and students. Moving forward, both institutions will promote student exchanges, deepen bilateral cooperation, and jointly explore innovative advancements in the residential college education model.

During their visit, Executive Dean Yin Xuefeng and Vice Dean Prof. Lu Zheng were invited to the SHEAC Valedictory High Table Dinner for the 2025–2026 academic year, where they joined approximately 150 staff members and students to celebrate the graduates’ achievements. On the same afternoon, Prof. Lu, a distinguished expert in civil engineering, delivered an academic lecture titled “Prevention of Infrastructure Vibration Hazards and Intelligent Damping Technologies.” Through his engaging and insightful presentation, Prof. Lu introduced the latest seismic mitigation measures and future trends in the field to the attending faculty and students.

Executive Dean Yin Xuefeng remarked that the visit to SHEAC not only deepened the interaction between the two colleges but also provided invaluable practical insights for residential college education.

As one of UM’s inaugural residential colleges, SHEAC is committed to implementing the “4-in-1” whole-person development model. Qidi College, meanwhile, is a newly established residential college at Tongji University dedicated to promoting the integration of “Artificial Intelligence and New Engineering.”
