This seminar will feature Prof. Fan Wenfei, Chair of Web Data Management at the University of Edinburgh and Chief Scientist at Shenzhen Institute of Computing Science, who will present a vision for advancing AI beyond large language models through a multi-paradigm approach.

• Speaker’s Introduction:
  Prof. Fan Wenfei is Chair of Web Data Management at the University of Edinburgh and Chief Scientist at Shenzhen Institute of Computing Science. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), and Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on database systems, big data, and integrating logic reasoning with machine learning for reliable AI.

This seminar will be especially valuable for students interested in artificial intelligence, database systems, logical reasoning, explainable AI, multi-paradigm AI, and applications in cybersecurity, drug discovery, and intelligent systems. No registration is required.
