摘要：The monograph “The EU Artificial Intelligence Act: Regulating Subliminal AI Systems” provides a comprehensive and transdisciplinary analysis of the category of so-called “subliminal AI practices” as listed in the European Union’s planned “Artificial Intelligence Act” (AI Act). The monograph addresses the future regulation of AI by highlighting the transdisciplinary challenges relating to the planned prohibition of the use of AI systems that deploy subliminal techniques in combination with other technologies, such as brain–computer interfaces, functional magnetic resonance imaging, robotics and big data. Already, these technologies allow for “mind reading” or “dream hacking” through brain spyware, which gives rise to a number of important legal, psychological and technological questions.
