MLC Teachers and Students participated in 2024 GBA College Sports Gala at the Chinese University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen

馬萬祺羅柏心書院師生赴港中深祥波書院參加2024大灣區書院體育文化節

To foster deeper friendship and connections among colleges in the Greater Bay Area, on March 31st, 2024, Dr. Stanley Chan, the Resident Fellow of Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC) at the University of Macau (UM), led a delegation of 10 students, including 5 from MLC, to Shenzhen to participate in the 2024 GBA College Sports Gala: Chinese Sports Game, organized by Harmonia College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen. The delegation was joined by teachers and students from UM’s Stanley Ho East Asia College, Shuren College of Southern University of Science and Technology, and Dawning College of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology.

MLC students enthusiastically participated in the event, which was filled with traditional Chinese music and dance performances, as well as game booths featuring Chinese art crafts, games, and costumes. MLC students also took part in the “Ancient-Themed Team Relay Game,” with the team captained by MLC student Lai Zhenni coming in second place. The event concluded successfully, and the students enjoyed a scrumptious dinner with students from other colleges, where they exchanged experiences as students of residential colleges at different universities.

By participating in this event, MLC has deepened its friendship and connection with Harmonia College, and the students have also benefited from gaining a better understanding of the cultures of other colleges. This successful experience has laid a strong foundation for future cooperation between MLC and colleges in other universities.
