Jianing Si, a graduate student from the Department of Computer and Information Science, specializing in E-Commerce Technology of the University of Macau (UM), was awarded the Best Presentation Award at the inaugural Greater Bay Area HCI Forum Pre-CHI 2024.  She was the only awardee to receive Best Presentation Award at the forum. The forum was jointly organized by City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), and Southern University of Science and Technology, and brought together over 60 research teams from the Greater Bay Area, including the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University.

Under the guidance of Prof Ye Wang, Jianing Si was the sole representative from Macao at the forum, presented her research paper “Understanding User-Perceived Security Risks and Mitigation Strategies in the Web3 Ecosystem,” which was recently published at ACM CHI 2024.  Her paper focused on the security issues of Web3 and won the sole Best Presentation Award at the forum.  This marked the first prominent appearance of UM in the human-computer interaction in the Greater Bay Area.  The award recognizes the level and innovative capabilities of the University of Macau students in the field of human-computer interaction. It highlights the effectiveness of UM’s active integration into academic exchanges and cooperation in the Greater Bay Area, reflecting not only the international recognition of its research achievements in the field of human-computer interaction but also its significant achievements in cultivating high-end scientific research and international talent. UM has played an important role in promoting the development of human-computer interaction in Macao and the entire Greater Bay Area in the future.

This conference exclusively featured research papers presented at the top human-computer interaction conference ACM CHI 2024 and other leading HCI conferences such as UIST, CSCW, and Ubicomp.

(ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, ACM CHI, 2024)上發表的研究論文“Understanding User-Perceived Security Risks and Mitigation Strategies in the Web3 Ecosystem”,主力探討Web3安全問題,並奪得論壇唯一最佳演講獎。

(ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, ACM CHI, 2024) 以及其他相關會議如用戶界面軟件與技術研討會(User Interface Software and Technology, UIST)、計算機支持的協同工作與社會計算(Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing , CSCW)及普適計算會議(Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing, Ubicomp)等。
