In recent years, telephone fraud has become a serious problem, especially among university students. We urge all students on overseas exchanges or internships to raise their awareness of fraud prevention and to pay attention to the fraud prevention messages from their local government departments. Any unfamiliar caller claiming to be from the police or government department, accusing you of breaking the law, requesting an investigation by videoconferencing, conducting a fund examination, or posting bail, etc., is a scam.
