How to stand out in an interview

Millions of people attend job interviews every day. How can you make a positive impression on potential employers? Read the following tips to help you prepare for your interview.

• Do your research. Ask in-depth questions that show you are curious about the position and truly familiar with the company. Never ask the employer something you could get from a Google search.
• Show your interest. Let potential employers know you are interested and eager by following up with an email immediately after the interview. This will keep you top of mind throughout the interview process.
• Dress for the occasion. What you wear says a lot about you before you even open your mouth.
• Be prepared. Aside from your resume, you should also bring any reference material you would like to share. It shows that you take the interview process seriously.
