Preparation for your Interview

面試前的準備工作

Every interview is a valuable opportunity and good preparation is the key to a successful interview. We have some suggestions for graduates:

• Research the company and the requirements of the position. Although this is often heard or repeated, we are still surprised by the number of students who don’t know enough about the company.
• Practice your introduction. This is usually the first question of the interview and forms an important part of the first impression you make on the employer. Remember to tell the employer about your strengths and why you are the right person for this job.
• Prepare appropriate formal attire. Although some companies don’t require employees to dress formally for work, as a job seeker you should dress formally to show that you are taking this interview seriously.
• Take care of your appearance. Male students should shave before the interview, female students should not wear heavy make-up. Please note that this applies not only to face-to-face interviews but also to online video interviews.

每次面試機會都非常難得，做好充分準備是面試成功的關鍵。我們有一些建議給各位畢業班的同學：

• 詳細了解面試公司的狀況以及應徵工作的要求。這雖然是老生常談，但我們發現還是有很大一部分同學在面試前對公司的了解並不足夠。
• 好好練習自我介紹。這通常是面試的第一條問題，也是你給僱主留下第一印象的重要組成部分。切記要向僱主介紹你的優勢，以及為何你是這份工作的合適人選。
• 準備合適的正裝。雖然有些公司並不要求員工著正裝上班，但作為面試者，你還是應該穿著正裝，以示你對這次面試的重視。
• 注意自己的儀容。男生應該剃鬚，女生則不應該化濃妝，請注意這不僅適用於現場面試，也適用於線上視像面試。
