Recruitment of Student Trainees for Faculty of Social Sciences

Dear Students,

The Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) is calling for application of student trainees in our Faculty and Department offices. We hope that students can receive valuable training in addition to their study.

Rate

The hourly rate will be MOP48 for general duties and MOP66 for technical duties, depending on the nature of tasks assigned and our need.

Key office administrative duties

  • Counter reception and handling of enquiries
  • Website production, update and maintenance
  • Translation and/or interpretation
  • Assisting in design and event promotion tasks, e.g. producing event poster and promotional materials, promoting faculty activities on social media such as WeChat, e.g. news writing etc.
  • PC maintenance, such as software installation, basic hardware diagnostic and troubleshooting.
  • Assisting in events or activities organization, e.g. photo-taking, serving as MC, etc.
  • Other administrative tasks assigned

Requirements

  • UM Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students (Priority will be given to local students and Year 1 UG students)
  • Fluent Cantonese, English and Mandarin speaker
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Relevant work experience, MC skill, news writing, photography, knowledge in Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator/InDesign/WordPress/R language/PC troubleshooting/software installation, managing accounts of WeChat, Facebook, Instagram and/or other platforms, or relevant experience and skills can be an advantage subject to the need of the Faculty and/or Departments
  • With positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
