Peking University students came to the University of Macau for an exchange programme

北大學生到澳大交流學習

To strengthen students’ patriotic and local awareness and deepen exchanges between universities in Macau and Beijing, a delegation of teachers and students from Yuanpei College, Peking University visited Cheng Yu Tung College, University of Macau from August 25 to 31. This week-long program, titled “Macau History and Culture Tour,” included lectures, experiential learning activities, and visits to various tourist attractions in Macau, promoting mutual understanding of the region’s history and culture.

The delegation was led by Vice Dean Li Boqiao, Office Director Qi Liping, and Liu Xinyue. During the opening ceremony, both Vice Dean Li and Interim College Master of Cheng Yu Tung College WONG Seng Fat delivered speeches, expressing their hope that the exchange program would inspire students and contribute to the development of both colleges. Associate Master of Cheng Yu Tung College Gong Yingxue accompanied the teachers from Peking University on visits to Cheng Yu Tung College, Choi Kai Yau College, and Lui Che Woo College, engaging in meaningful discussions about college management practices and educational platforms.

Guided by students from the University of Macau, the Peking University delegation toured the campus and participated in various activities, including the “Strings in Harmony” Concert, a visit to the unique Gaming Laboratory, Lotus TV of Macau, and the Macau Grand Prix Museum, as well as iconic sites like the Ruins of St. Paul’s, A-Ma Temple, and Coloane. Additionally, Peking University students attended select classes at the University of Macau to experience the differences and similarities between the two universities’ teaching methods. Cheng Yu Tung College also arranged experiential learning activities such as African drumming, making traditional Portuguese egg tarts and iced tea, and a coffee workshop, allowing students to immerse themselves in the cultural fusion of East and West in Macau.

At the closing ceremony, Interim College Master WONG Seng Fat emphasized that this exchange activity is a significant step in deepening cooperation between the two colleges, providing students with broader academic development opportunities and international exchange platforms.

Since 2015, Cheng Yu Tung College and Yuanpei College have organized student exchange programs, fostering strong cooperative relationships and deep friendships. In May of this year, students from University of Macau visited Peking University for a week of exchange and learning, and the return visit by students from Peking University has further enriched their understanding of Macau. This exchange program has strengthened the friendship and collaboration between students from both universities, providing a deeper insight into each other’s history, culture, and educational approaches. The Peking University students expressed that such activities are invaluable for broadening their international perspectives, promoting cultural exchange, and contributing to the growth and future development of both colleges.

為加強學生愛國愛澳的情懷,深化澳門與北京高校的交流,北京大學元培學院師生8月25日至31日到訪澳門大學鄭裕彤書院,展開爲期七天的“澳門歷史文化之旅”交流活動。在此期間,兩校學生共同學習,參與講座和書院體驗式學習,並參觀了多個澳門旅遊景點,以促進師生之間的交流互鑒,增進對澳門歷史文化的瞭解。

是次北京大學元培學院代表團由副院長李泊橋、辦公室主任漆麗萍、劉欣悅帶隊。啟動儀式上,元培學院副院長李泊橋和鄭裕彤書院代院長黃承發均致辭,期望透過是次交流,兩校學生能夠相互啟發、共同成長,並為推動兩個書院的發展作出貢獻。鄭裕彤書院副院長龔映雪陪同北大老師參觀了鄭裕彤書院、蔡繼有書院和呂志和書院,老師們就書院的工作、管理方式以及育人平臺等進行了深入交流。

在澳大師生的帶領下,北大師生參觀了澳大校園,並參加了多項活動,包括“弦響•啟航”雙慶專場音樂會、獨具澳大特色的博彩實驗室、澳門蓮花衛視、澳門大賽車博物館,以及大三巴、媽閣廟和路環等澳門著名景點。北大同學們還旁聽了澳門大學的一些課程,體驗兩校課程的異同。鄭裕彤書院還安排了非洲鼓體驗課、特色葡撻與涼茶的製作、咖啡工作坊等特色書院課程,讓北大同學通過體驗式學習,深入體驗澳門的中西方文化交融。在交流活動結束儀式上,鄭裕彤書院代院長黃承發表示,是次交流活動是兩所書院深化合作的重要一步,為學生提供了更廣闊的學術發展機遇和國際交流平臺。

自2015年起,澳大鄭裕彤書院與北大元培學院便開始舉辦學生互訪交流活動,建立了良好的合作關係和深厚的友誼。今年5月,澳大學生曾到北大交流學習一周,是次北大同學的回訪讓他們更深入瞭解澳門。是次交流活動增進了兩校學生之間的友誼和合作,對兩地的歷史文化、地方特色及學習方式有了更深的體驗和認識。北大同學表示,這樣的交流活動有助於擴大學生的國際視野,促進文化交流,推動兩校書院發展,為學生的成長和未來發展打下良好的基礎。
