UM Dragon Boat Team got the 3rd prize at “2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament”

The “2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament” co-organized by University of Macau and Foshan University, was successfully held on 13 Oct in Foshan, with the aim to promote Chinese traditional culture and to enhance the friendship between the youth of Macau, Guangdong and Hong Kong. 

A total of 13 dragon boat teams from the Greater Bay Area higher institutions, over 212 student athletes had completed in the 200m & 500m events.   The participating teams are:

• Foshan University
• Guangdong Industry Polytechnic University
• Guangzhou Sport University
• Hong Kong Baptist University
• Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau
• Macao Polytechnic University
• Macau University of Science and Technology
• Shunde Innovation School, University of Science and Technology Beijing
• Soutbern Medical University
• South China Normal University
• Sun Yat-Sen University
• The University of Hong Kong
• University of Macau

Finally, UM Dragon Boat Team got the 3th prize (三等獎) in this competition. Other than dragon boat competitions, there were also cultural exchange and campus tour for participants to build up friendship and connection.
