澳大與何鴻燊醫療基金會合辦傑出學者論壇

澳門大學與何鴻燊博士醫療拓展基金會聯合舉辦“揚帆追夢、創啟未來”資助計劃之2024傑出學者論壇,多位知名的專家學者線上線下就健康科學和大數據醫療領域的最新研究展開交流和討論。

澳大副校長葛偉表示,是次傑出學者論壇展示了創新的研究,加深了公眾對健康科學和中醫藥的理解,並促進了科研成果的轉化,造福人類。作為一所國際化研究型綜合公立大學,澳大積極支持國家的粵港澳大灣區發展戰略,實施以“3+3+3+3”框架為核心的科研戰略佈局。隨著橫琴粵澳深度合作區和籌備建設的澳大深合區校區帶來的新機遇,澳大將進一步擴大辦學規模,提升國際影響力,為澳門和大灣區的發展注入新活力。

何鴻燊博士醫療拓展基金會行政委員會主席禤永明致辭時表示,論壇不僅為專家學者提供展示健康科學和大數據醫療領域的最新研究進展和應用的平台,也為研究人員和學生提供了與知名學者互動、探索合作的寶貴機會。

論壇邀請了深圳理工大學講席教授葉克強作為演講嘉賓,分享新一代柏金遜症診斷探針的開發。澳大中華醫藥研究院副教授路嘉宏、歐陽德方,健康科學學院教授郭珩輝,微電子研究院副教授賈艷偉分別對各自受資助項目的研究進展和成果進行了詳細的彙報。澳大中華醫藥研究院副院長李鵬致閉幕詞。

活動期間,禤永明、何鴻燊博士醫療拓展基金會行政委員會會務總監(澳門)程頌康、研究總監霍君行,與李鵬及一眾獲資助的教授就不同研究項目交換了意見。

UM, Dr. Stanley Ho Medical Development Foundation jointly hold Distinguished Scholars Forum

The University of Macau (UM) and Dr. Stanley Ho Medical Development Foundation (SHMDF) jointly held the 2024 Distinguished Scholars Forum as part of the ‘Set Sail for New Horizons, Create the Future’ Grant. Held in a hybrid format, the forum brought together renowned experts and scholars to share their latest research findings in health sciences and big data applications in healthcare.

Speaking at the event, Ge Wei, vice rector of UM, said that the Distinguished Scholars Forum showcased innovative research, enhanced public understanding of health sciences and Chinese medicine, and promoted research translation for the benefit of humanity. As an international public comprehensive university in Macao, UM actively supports the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development strategy through its ‘3+3+3+3’ strategic research layout. To seize the new opportunities presented by the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the development of UM’s campus in the Cooperation Zone, UM will continue to expand its student body, enhance its international influence, and inject new vitality into the development of Macao and the Greater Bay Area.

In his speech, Huen Wing Ming, chairman of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of SHMDF, said that the forum not only provided a platform for experts and scholars to present their latest research in health sciences and big data in healthcare and the relevant applications, but also offered researchers and students opportunities to interact with renowned scholars and explore potential collaborations.

The forum featured guest speaker Ye Keqiang, chair professor at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, who discussed the development of a next-generation diagnostic probe for Parkinson’s disease. Associate Professors Lu Jiahong and Ouyang Defang in the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS), Professor Kwok Hang Fai in the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Associate Professor Jia Yanwei in the Institute of Microelectronics at UM also gave detailed reports on the progress and results of their funded research projects. The forum concluded with the closing remarks by Li Peng, deputy director of ICMS.

During the event, Chairman Huen Wing Ming, Michael Ching, director of operations (Macao) of SHMDF, and Fok Kuan Hang, research director of SHMDF, exchanged views with Prof Li Peng and the funded professors on various research projects.
