The Exchange Ambassador Scheme (“Scheme”) offers recognition to outbound / study abroad students who serve as UM Exchange Ambassadors. Ambassadors who fulfill the mission’s requirements can earn a prestigious “UM Exchange Ambassador” certificate and /or a cash award.

“Sharing” as the Mission of a UM Exchange Ambassador
All the tasks are super simple — just like things you’d do in daily life.
✨ Active participation in activities at the Exchange University.
✨ Share the strengths of UM with local students of the Exchange University.
✨ Promote UM as an attractive destination for exchange students to the University community.
✨ Share experiences via social media campaigns.

Eligibility
Students who are
-
Nominated for university-level / unit-level Mobility Programmes (semester exchange or study abroad) in AY2025 / 2026 Semester 1.

Enrolled in credit-based programmes lasting at least one semester.
Just a few steps to the Recognition
1. Registration
Registration Deadline: 30 May 2025

2. Earn Points and Document the Activities
Earn points by completing missions. Even small tasks will count toward your points!
Examples
- Write blogs or film vlogs about your journey
- Share GAO posts on your personal social media platform
- Join a club and enjoy the activities with locals
- Promote UM to the locals
- Host a booth at your host university
Document the activities taken during your mobility period. Participants must send at least one activity to the GAO office via email.
3. Submit Report After Exchange
Submit a Report summarizing the activities undertaken during the Exchange within 4 weeks of returning from your mobility study. (A report template will be provided)
4. Get the Recognition
Certificates & Awards will be released to qualified participants after the Report Evaluation.
