Recently, university members have reported receiving emails impersonating “Umac Payroll ADMIN”, asking recipients to confirm and acknowledge certain notifications. Please be aware that this is a phishing email, likely intended to steal personal information or carry out other malicious activities.

We urge all colleagues to remain vigilant, do not click on any links in the email and do not provide any personal or account information.

To protect your information and security, please pay attention to the following:

1. Verify the sender’s email address carefully
   Be especially cautious with emails from external domains (e.g., outlook.com, gmail.com, etc.). Impersonators may use usernames similar to university members, but with different domains. Look for the “External Email Warning Tag” as an important indicator.
   
2. When in doubt, please verify
   If you receive a suspicious email, confirm its authenticity by contacting the sender directly via phone or in person. 
3. Report losses promptly
   If you suffer financial or other losses due to fraudulent activity, report the incident to judicial police immediately.
4. Protect your personal information
   Avoid clicking on unknown links or downloading attachments from suspicious emails to prevent leaking sensitive personal data.
5. Report suspicious activity
   If you encounter any suspicious emails or fraudulent behavior, please contact the ICTO Help Desk immediately.
