Jointly organized by the University Library and Moon Chun Memorial College, the BOYA Talk x MCMC Music Musicales: Music! The Most Beautiful Song of the Soul was successfully held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Auditorium (G012) of the University Library (E2). The event drew enthusiastic participation from faculty and students, who gathered to experience the cultural resonance of music and spirit.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Lu Qiaodi — poet, classical music evangelist, and German culture expert.
At the beginning of the event, Professor Cheung Kwok Cheung, Master of Moon Chun Memorial College, and Professor Xu Hong, University Librarian, each delivered a speech. They also presented a certificate of appreciation and a souvenir to Mr. Lu on behalf of the co-organizing units, and took a commemorative photo with the teachers and students present.
Mr. Lu (whose real name is Lu Chengwen), with his profound literary and musical cultivation, offered an accessible yet insightful interpretation of the spiritual value and cultural significance of classical music. He regards music as a treasure of human civilization and the finest medium for conveying truth, goodness, and beauty—deeply intertwined with individual lives and the destiny of nations. Through the live playback of several musical pieces, Mr. Lu guided the audience to appreciate the spiritual depth and artistic essence embedded within each work.
After the two-hour lecture, faculty and students gathered outside the venue to enjoy refreshments and engage in further exchanges with the speaker. The atmosphere was lively and interactive.
This event not only embodied the spirit of liberal arts education but also infused the campus with a profound and elegant cultural ambiance.
