[FED] iFLYTEK (Macau) Delegation Visited Faculty of Education, University of Macau

On 17 September 2025, a delegation comprised Mr. Yu XIE, Marketing Director; Mr. Jinsong XIE, Project Manager; Mr. Jie ZHANG, Product Manager; Mr. Chuan YU, Senior Researcher of iFLYTEK (Macau), and Mr. Jiajun PENG, Standing Vice Director of the Macao Smart Education Association visited the Faculty of Education (FED) at the University of Macau (UM). They were warmly received by Prof. Lianghuo FAN, Dean of FED and Director of the Centre for STEM and AI Education; Prof. Chun Wai FAN, Head of the AI Education Lab of FED; Prof. Lele SHA and Prof. Tongxi LIU.
The meeting was held in E33-1002 of FED. Dean Fan extended a warm welcome to the delegation and highlighted FED’s research outcomes, platform construction, and talent cultivation focus in the fields of STEM and artificial intelligence (AI) in education, and expressed expectations for advancing industry-university-research cooperation with enterprises and industry associations to drive the digital transformation of education.
Director Xie thanked FED for its warm reception. He briefly introduced iFLYTEK’s strengths in AI education technology R&D and product application results, and expressed hope to take this exchange as an opportunity to explore cooperation possibilities in areas such as educational technology-enabled teaching and joint project R&D. Vice Director Peng also shared the Association’s efforts in integrating industry resources and promoting the development of a smart education ecosystem, and looked forward to playing a bridging role in facilitating in-depth collaboration between universities and enterprises.
Prof. Chun Wai FAN further elaborated on the AI Education Lab’s development orientation, research priorities, and practical cases in supporting teaching innovation. Afterwards, both sides were engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics, including the implementation and application of AI technology in Macao’s educational scenarios, localized R&D of educational technology products, and pathways to enhance teachers’ and students’ AI literacy. Both parties expressed anticipated for maintaining close exchanges in the future, with the goal of jointly injecting momentum into the informatization and intelligent development of Macao’s education sector.
