FED Joint STEM Education Research Featured in ScienMag
教育學院STEM教育合作研究成果獲《ScienMag》雜誌高度推薦
FED’s Chair Professor Lianghuo FAN, and his research team members and former post-doc and doctoral students at East China Normal University, Dr. Shuhui LI and Dr. Jietong LUO, recently published their research work entitled “How STEM content is presented in mathematics textbooks from the U.S. and China: a comparative study”, in the International Journal of STEM Education, a top ranked journal in STEM Education. The work was featured in ScienMag and regarded as “a vital resource in understanding how foundational educational materials influence the trajectory of STEM learning across two of the world’s largest education systems” and “the research contributes to a global dialogue on STEM education by illuminating how cultural, economic, and policy contexts shape curricular materials”.
“This in-depth analysis … delves not only into curricular content but also pedagogical approaches embedded in these countries’ most widely used math textbooks, revealing fascinating contrasts and convergences that could shape the future of global STEM education” (ScienMag, 2025)
