We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming Distinguished Talk organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology on 26 November 2025 (Wednesday). This session will feature Prof. Peter Jimack, Professor of Scientific Computing from the University of Leeds, UK, who will present cutting-edge research on machine learning applications in scientific computing.

- Speaker’s Introduction:
Prof. Jimack is a Professor of Scientific Computing at the University of Leeds, with extensive experience in academic leadership including roles as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and interim DVC for Student Education. He has supervised over 30 PhD students and received research funding from multiple sources including EPSRC, industry, and EU.
This seminar will be particularly valuable for students interested in scientific computing, machine learning, computational science, and numerical methods. No registration is required.
