The Library has newly subscribed to the following databases. We sincerely invite you to explore valuable resources.

1.ScienceDirect AI

Introduction: ScienceDirect AI is an AI-powered tool designed to help researchers efficiently navigate massive scientific literature. Its key features, developed to streamline research workflows and support academic goals, include:

  • Ask ScienceDirect AI: Delivers insights from full-text peer-reviewed papers and book chapters based on user queries.
  • Reading Assistant: Analyzes individual documents to extract critical information and provide real-time context-specific answers.
  • Compare Experiments: Summarizes the purpose, methods, results and conclusions of relevant experiments from research articles.

 

2.Communication Source (EBSCO)

Introduction: Communication Source is the most complete full-text research database for communication studies. It offers 769 active full-text communication journals, magazines and it covers all related disciplines, including media studies, linguistics, speech pathology, rhetoric and discourse.

 

3.Translation Studies Bibliography

Introduction: It is a platform to explore the broad range of publications in Translation and Interpreting (T&I) of which the studies comprises the discipline dealing with transfer and mediation aspects of intra- and interlingual translation, intercultural communication, adaptation, interpreting, localization, multimedia translation, language mediation, terminology and documentation.

4.Chinese Text Project

Introduction: The Chinese Text Project is an online open-access digital library that makes pre-modern Chinese texts available to readers and researchers all around the world. The site attempts to make use of the digital medium to explore new ways of interacting with these texts that are not possible in print. With over thirty thousand titles and more than five billion characters, the Chinese Text Project is also the largest database of pre-modern Chinese texts in existence.

資料庫簡介：此資料庫匯集翻譯與口筆譯領域（T&I）的豐富出版資源，涵蓋的研究範疇包括語內與語際翻譯的轉換與媒介研究、跨文化溝通、文本改寫、口譯實務、本地化服務、多媒體翻譯、語言仲介、術語學及文獻編纂等核心議題。

   

 

4.中國哲學書電子化計劃

資料庫簡介：中國哲學書電子化計劃提供精確且便利使用的中國古代原典文獻（尤其先秦兩漢文獻），把這些資料以恰當結構、可搜索模式來展現，並且廣泛使用現代技術作為工具使這些文獻更容易學習和研究，因而使更多人有機會接觸這些原典文獻。資料庫收錄中文原文與中英對照譯文，友善於不具古漢語背景之研究者，可作為課程教材、語言教學、文學與文化比對研究資源。
