[FED] “Macao Training Programme for Primary and Secondary School Principals/Teachers from Mainland” Officially Launched at the University of Macau

On 12 January, 2026, the opening ceremony of the “Macao Training Programme for Primary and Secondary School Principals/Teachers from Mainland” was held at the University of Macau. School principals and key teachers from multiple provinces and municipalities across mainland China gathered in Macao to officially commence a two-week professional learning and exchange programme.

At the ceremony, the officiating guests included Mr. Gangbo SHU, Deputy Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education; Mr. Shuzheng SHI, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Prof. Yonghua SONG, Rector of the University of Macau; Dr. Wai Keong TANG, Chief of the Department of Educational Resources of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao SAR; Prof. Lianghuo FAN, Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Macau; Mr. Jiezhao ZHENG, Chairman of the Chinese Educators Association of Macau; and Ms. Wai Ling CHEUNG, Vice-President of the Union of Catholic Schools of Macau.

Rector Yonghua SONG delivered the opening remarks. He highlighted the University’s recent achievements in academic development, research capacity, and international engagement; and particularly acknowledged the notable achievements and strong future momentum of the Faculty of Education in teacher education, educational research, and regional collaboration. Prof. Song expressed his hope that the programme would serve as a platform to further strengthen educational exchange and cooperation and to promote mutual learning and resource sharing between mainland China and Macao. He wished all participants a fruitful and rewarding learning experience.

This was followed by remarks from Deputy Director Gangbo SHU. He noted that the participant selection process for this programme was rigorous and highly competitive, and that the selected principals and teachers demonstrate strong professional expertise and leadership potential. This reflects the nation’s commitment to cultivating high-quality educational leadership. He encouraged participants to cherish this valuable opportunity, actively engage in learning and dialogue, and contribute to the high-quality development of regional education.

Next, Dean Lianghuo FAN delivered a welcome address. He introduced the Faculty of Education’s development trajectory, disciplinary strengths, and ongoing innovation initiatives, emphasising its long-term focus on STEM education, the integration of artificial intelligence and education, and curriculum and instructional reform. He expressed his expectation that participants would engage in in-depth professional exchange, draw inspiration from one another, and translate what they learn into concrete actions that support high-quality school development.

Representing the participants, Ms. Xiya LIU, Principal-General of Chongqing Xiejiawan Schools, delivered a speech. She expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to participate in this high-level professional programme and looked forward to gaining systematic understanding of Macao’s education system and innovative practices through expert guidance and field-based learning. She also emphasised the importance of broadening international and cross-regional perspectives and translating learning outcomes into practical actions that support school improvement, regional educational quality, and students’ holistic development. The ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting and group photo by the officiating guests, marking the official launch of the programme.

The two-week programme features a rich and diversified curriculum, including thematic lectures, school visits, field studies, and professional salons. The lecture series will focus on core topics such as the development of Macao’s non-tertiary education system, multicultural and intercultural education, interdisciplinary curriculum design, moral and civic education, artificial intelligence in education, student psychological and behavioral development, STEM education, home–school collaboration, and school governance and social partnerships. These sessions will be delivered by senior professors from the University of Macau, emphasising the integration of cutting-edge theory and practical experience.

In terms of field engagement, participants will visit the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Macao Science Center, and several local primary and secondary schools including the Affiliated School of the University of Macau. Through campus tours, classroom observations, and professional dialogues, participants will gain first-hand insights into Macao’s practices in curriculum development, technology-enhanced education, life education, home–school collaboration, and vocational education. The programme also includes visits to the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City at the University of Macau and selected on-campus teaching and research facilities, further expanding participants’ understanding of educational technology and innovation.

During the programme, thematic professional salons will be organized to facilitate in-depth discussions with local school leaders and educators on topics such as teacher professional development, lifelong learning, and school-based support systems, strengthening cross-regional professional networks and collaboration. At the conclusion of the programme, participants will present and share their learning outcomes, consolidating the impact of the training and further promoting sustained cooperation in the field of education between mainland China and Macao.

2026年1月12日,“內地中小學校長/教師赴澳門研修班” 開班儀式在澳門大學隆重舉行。來自內地多個省市的中小學校長及骨幹教師齊聚澳門,正式展開為期兩週的專業研修與交流活動。
 
開班儀式上,主禮嘉賓包括國家教育部港澳台事務辦公室副主任舒剛波、中央人民政府駐澳門特別行政區聯絡辦公室教育與青年工作部副部長石書正、澳門大學校長宋永華、教育及青年發展局教育資源廳廳長鄧偉強、澳門大學教育學院院長范良火、澳門中華教育會理事長鄭杰釗及澳門天主教學校聯會副會長張慧玲等出席。
 
宋永華校長首先致開幕辭。他介紹了澳門大學近年來在學術建設、科研發展與國際影響力方面取得的顯著成果,並特別肯定教育學院在教師教育、教育研究與區域合作中的突出表現和良好發展前景。宋校長表示,期待以本次研修為契機,進一步深化內地與澳門在教育領域的交流合作,促進經驗互鑒與資源共享,也祝願各位學員在研修期間收穫豐富、學有所成。
 
隨後,舒剛波副主任致辭。他指出,本次研修班在學員選拔方面標準嚴格、競爭激烈,能夠入選的校長與教師均具備豐富的辦學經驗與專業潛力,充分體現了國家對高素質教育領導人才培養的高度重視,也寄望學員珍惜此次難得的學習與交流機會,積極汲取先進理念,推動區域教育高品質發展。
 
范良火院長隨後致歡迎辭。他從學院發展、學科建設與教育創新等角度介紹了教育學院的辦學理念與特色,強調學院長期致力於推動STEM教育、人工智能與教育融合、課程與教學改革等重點方向,希望學員在本次研修中能夠深入交流、互相啟發,將所學成果轉化為推動學校高質量發展的實際行動。
 
重慶市謝家灣學校總校長劉希婭作為學員代表在發言中表示,對能夠參與此次高水準研修深感榮幸,期待在專家引領與實地交流中系統了解澳門教育制度與創新實踐,進一步拓展國際與跨區域視野,並將學習成果帶回各自學校,轉化為推動學校發展的實際行動,服務地方教育高品質發展與學生全面成長。最後,主禮嘉賓共同進行剪綵儀式並合影留念,標誌著研修班正式啟動。
 
本次研修班為期兩週,課程內容豐富多元,涵蓋專題講座、校際參訪、實地考察及專題沙龍等多種形式。專題講座將聚焦澳門非高等教育體系發展、多元文化與跨文化教育、跨學科課程設計、品德與公民教育、人工智能與教育、學生心理與行為適應、STEM 教育、家校合作以及學校治理與社會協作等核心議題,由澳門大學多位資深教授主講,強調理論前沿與實務經驗的深度結合。
 
在實地交流方面,學員將走訪教育及青年發展局、澳門科學館,以及包括澳門大學附屬應用學校在内的多所本地中小學,透過校園參觀、課堂觀摩及座談交流等,深入了解澳門在課程建設、科技教育、生命教育、家校合作與職業教育等方面的實踐經驗。同時,研修班亦安排參觀澳門大學智慧城市物聯網重點實驗室及校內教研設施,拓展學員對教育科技與創新應用的認識。
 
研修期間還將舉辦專題沙龍,邀請本地校長與教育工作者就教師專業發展、終身學習及校本支持體系展開深度交流,促進跨區域專業社群的連結與合作。研修班將於結業階段組織學員進行成果分享與總結匯報,進一步鞏固研修成效,推動內地與澳門教育合作持續深化。
