On 4 February 2026, the Faculty of Education (FED) held an Academic Council & Faculty Meeting in Tin Ka Ping Lecture Hall (E33-G021). The meeting was attended by all faculty members. At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Lianghuo FAN, Dean and Director of Centre for STEM and AI Education, delivered a speech. On behalf of the Faculty, Dean Fan expressed his sincere gratitude to all faculty and staff for their hard work and support over the past year. He also emphasized that the new year brings new expectations, and in a future filled with both opportunities and challenges, he hoped that everyone will continue to work together to achieve greater success.

During the meeting, Prof. Mingming ZHOU, Associate Dean (Research and Graduate Studies) and Programme Coordinator of Master of Philosophy announced the winners for the academic awards of the academic year 2025/2026:

Research Award (Research Track) — Prof. Barry Lee REYNOLDS
Service Award — Mr. Frankie U Kei WONG
Best Paper Award — Prof. Biying HU, Prof. Mengdi CHEN and Prof. Shulin YU

At the end, Dean Fan made a comprehensive and profound conclusion, and the meeting was successfully concluded.
