On 5 March 2026, the delegation from Saint Joseph International Nursery (CISJ) visited the Faculty of Education (FED) of the University of Macau (UM) and joined an exchange activity held in room E33-1002. The visit aimed to enhance mutual understanding and connection in educational practice and teacher cultivation.

Prof. Keang-Ieng VONG, Assistant Dean (School Engagements and External Relations), Prof. Jin SUN, Programme Coordinator of Bachelor of Education Programme (Pre-Primary), and Prof. Katy Ieong Cheng HO WEATHERLY received the delegation. The delegation from Saint Joseph International Nursery included: Mr. Ricardo RODRIGUES, Ms. Sandra MONTEIRO, and three teachers.

During the activity, Mr. Rodrigues, Director of CISJ presented their curriculum and pedagogy and Ms. Monteiro, Head of Parenting Center of CISJ introduced the distinctive features of their unique center. This was followed by an introduction from Prof. Sun, who presented FED’s curriculum features, and educational philosophy in the area of pre-primary education, as well as its work and achievements in teacher education.

Through the exchange, the CISJ gained a better understanding of the Faculty’s learning environment, programme features, and development directions. The two sides also exchanged views on issues related to pre-primary education in a pleasant atmosphere. The visit not only deepened local institution’s understanding of FED, but also reflected the Faculty’s continued efforts in promoting school engagement and external relations, laying a solid foundation for future exchange and collaboration.
