Dear Students,

To promote cultural exchange and foster deeper interaction between students from China and Portuguese-speaking countries, DSEDJ, in collaboration with the Macao Youth Summit and the the Luso-Macaense Students Association, is co-organizing the “Student Club of Portuguese-Speaking Countries”. GAO now sincerely invites eligible UM students to apply and utilize this platform to promote cross-cultural interaction and friendship.

Highlights

• Fostering Cross-Cultural Interaction: Providing exchange opportunities for international students from Portuguese-speaking countries and local youth to promote cross-cultural interaction and deep friendship through diverse activities.
• Promoting Chinese Culture: Promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture internationally to inject new momentum into deepening humanistic exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
• Strengthening the Bridge Role: Aiming to broaden youth’s international perspectives and enhance mutual recognition, further strengthening Macao’s role as a bridge in youth exchange between both sides.

Eligibility

UM applicants must meet the following criteria:

• International Students from Portuguese-Speaking Countries: International students from Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde, Timor-Leste, and Equatorial Guinea.
• Local Students: Local students currently enrolled in Portuguese-related programs or courses primarily taught in Portuguese at UM (must be capable in communicating in Portuguese).
