Dear PhD Students,
We are pleased to call for the submission of papers to the 4th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Interdisciplinary Doctoral Forum. This forum is organized by The Institute of Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Macau, and co-organized by the Institute of Advanced Studies in Humanities, Sun Yat-sen University.Building on the success of the previous three forums, the forum aims to establish a vital academic platform that addresses global challenges and explores future directions. In an era of rapid digitalization, “Digital Transformation and Social Equity” have become increasingly central to our time. We must critically examine the power structures embedded in technological systems, investigate how digital identities are reshaping civil rights, and reaffirm the value of humanistic concern and social responsibility beyond instrumental rationality. This year’s forum will continue to foster interdisciplinary integration by bringing together insights and methodologies from diverse fields, including the humanities, social sciences, and technology. It also seeks to explore innovative and practically applicable research approaches, contributing through scholarship to a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive future society.
This forum is designed specifically for doctoral students (PhD in progress or newly graduated) who are conducting innovative research across diverse fields, including the humanities, social sciences, and natural and technical sciences. It aims to provide a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration. Participants will have the opportunity to present their research, exchange academic ideas, and engage in in-depth discussions with young researchers and distinguished experts from diverse fields. The forum not only fosters intellectual exchange but also builds interdisciplinary networks, broadens young researchers’ horizons, promotes long-term collaboration, and responds to global challenges with innovative perspectives.
