Dear students,

The Writing and Communication Centre (EWCC) is collaborating with the UM Library  to offer a practical workshop on using GenAI tools for research and English skills development.  In this session, you will learn how AI can support your study process—from searching for academic sources to improving your English language skills.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• The common concepts about Generative AI
• Write effective AI prompts for academic tasks
• Use effective prompts to assist with literature search
• Improve your English language skills with AI support

You’ll receive a certificate, and gain 1 smart point and 15 cs points by participating in this workshop. Whether you are starting a research project, or looking to strengthen your academic English, this workshop will introduce practical strategies you can use right away.

• Location: Information Literacy Room, Library (E2-G019)
• Dates: April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (All on Wednesday)
