The Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) successfully launched the “Tai Chi Interest Course” to promote this traditional Chinese martial art and enhance participants’ balance, coordination, strength, and overall sense of calm through regular practice.

The course is divided into two classes, each comprising eight sessions. Classes are held from March to April every Thursday from 08:30 to 09:30 and 13:00 to 14:00 at the UM Sports Complex.

Certified instructors from the Wushu General Association of Macau provide personalised guidance in small class settings, enabling participants to learn the fundamentals of the 8-form and 16-form Tai Chi styles. Through hands-on practice, participants can experience the unique characteristics of Tai Chi while improving body control, flexibility, and coordination.

The Office of Sports Affairs remains committed to encouraging UM members to actively engage in sports activities, promoting healthy living and enjoyment through a wide range of sports courses.
