Student Housing: Postgraduate House Accommodation Arrangement for NEW postgraduate students of 1st semester of Academic Year 2023/2024 (Updated on 24 July 2023)

Dear prospective students,

Due to insufficient bedspaces in PGH, according to the “PGH Resident Rules” and the “Guidelines for Assessing the Applications for UM PGH Accommodation”, the University can only ensure accommodation for year-one postgraduate students who are in their first year of study and do not have a residence in Macao. All second year postgraduate students or above will unlikely be offered an accommodation in PGH. PGH accommodation are not provided to students at all levels of the following courses: EMBA, DBA, EdD, DPA and Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma Programmes. Students who were not offered a bedspace are required to arrange off-campus accommodation by themselves. For off-campus accommodation information, please refer to Student Resources Section (Student Housing) website (https://srs.sao.um.edu.mo/macau-residential-rental-information/).

For details of on-campus accommodation application, eligible students who have accepted the offer from UM will be notified by email from Student Resources Section. Students who need on-campus accommodation should follow the instructions stated in the email and submit the application within the specified period. Late application will NOT be considered.

A. Eligible applicants:
(1) Year-one postgraduate students* of AY2023/2024 who are in their first year of study and do not have a residence in Macao.
(2) Year-one postgraduate students* who will resume studies in AY2023/2024, the student must:

– NOT have a residence in Macao;
– have deferred the studies to AY2023/2024 before registration; and
– have been approved for resumption of studies in AY2023/2024.

* PGH accommodation are not provided to students at all levels of the following courses:

    • Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
    • Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
    • Doctor of Education (EdD/DED)
    • Doctor of Public Administration (DPA)
    • Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma Programmes

B. PGH Accommodation for 1st Semester of AY2023/2024 Schedule:

Application Status
(Updated on 24 July 2023)
  • Students who have accepted offer on or before 20 July 2023: Application has been sent by email.
    Please pay attention to the mailboxes (including junk, spam or other email folders).
  • Students who have accepted offer on or after 21 July 2023: Application is not yet announced.
  • Students with Macao Resident Identity Card who do not have residence in Macau: Students are required to send an email to sao.pgh@um.edu.mo to request for an accommodation.
  • Students who deferred the studies to AY2023/2024 before registration and resume studies in AY2023/2024
    – Resumption of studies approved on or before 20 July 2023: Application has been sent by email.
    – Resumption of studies approved on or after 21 July 2023: Application is not yet announced.
Result Announcement Date

1. New PG students who submit the application on or before 23 July 2023: 24 July 2023 (Result has been announced through email)

2. New PG students who submit the application on or after 24 July 2023: Will be announced through email.

Payment period of the PGH residence fee for 1st semester of AY2023/2024

1. New PG students who submit the application on or before 30 June 2023:
21 July 2023 – 3 August 2023

2. New PG students who submit the application on or after 1 July 2023: 
A debit note will be issued to student’s ISW account around 1 month after move-in procedure is completed. The payment period shall be subject to the e-debit note.

C. Notes for applicants:

1. Applicants should follow the instructions stated in the email and submit the application within the specified application period.

2. Late applications will NOT be accepted. SRS will not entertain even if students are willing to accept penalties. Any decision made by SRS shall be final.

3. According to Article 39 of the Personnel Statue of UM and Article 18 of Chapter 7 of Regulations of the Personnel Affairs of the UM about the attribution of housing subsidy, UM staff is not eligible to receive the housing subsidy when he/she successfully applied for the housing provided by UM or any public entities, including the Student Dormitory (i.e. Postgraduate House).

4. Room assignment is arranged by SRS. For any room with vacant bedspaces, SRS reserves all rights to assign other students to them at any moment.

5. Year-one postgraduate students can only apply for Shared Room. SRS will assign rooms, floors and roommates randomly to successful applicants.

7. SRS has the right to make the final decision.

各位研究生新生:

由於研究生宿舍宿位有限,本校只確保第一年修讀一年級且在澳門地區沒有住所的研究生之住宿。所有升讀至課程二年級或以上的研究生基本不會獲安排宿位。所有年級的工商管理博士、高級管理人員工商管理碩士、教育博士、公共行政博士學位課程及學士後證書/文憑課程的學生已不獲安排宿位。不獲安排宿位的學生需自行安排校外住宿。有關校外住宿的基本資訊,請參閱學生資源處 (學生住宿) 網頁 (https://srs.sao.um.edu.mo/macau-residential-rental-information/?lang=zh-hant)。

有關研究生宿舍住宿申請詳情,學生資源處將以電郵方式通知已接受錄取的學生。如需申請校內住宿,必須按照電郵指示在指定期限內提交申請,逾期遞交申請恕不受理。

A. 合資格申請者:
(1) 2023/2024學年第一年修讀一年級且在澳門地區沒有住所的研究生*
(2) 將於2023/2024學年復學的一年級研究新生*,且符合以下條件:

– 在澳門地區沒有住所;
– 已在註冊前申請保留學位至2023/2024學年;
– 已獲批准於2023/2024學年復學。

*研究生宿舍不為以下課程所有年級的學生提供宿位,包括:

  • 高級管理人員工商管理碩士學位課程 (EMBA)
  • 工商管理博士學位課程 (DBA)
  • 教育博士學位課程 (EdD/DED)
  • 公共行政博士學位課程 (DPA)
  • 學士後證書 / 文憑課程

    2023年7月21日或之後獲批復學:申請尚未發出

住宿申請結果及選房事宜公佈日期

2. 2023724日或之後提交申請之研究生新生:將通過電子郵件公佈

2023/2024學年第一學期住宿費用繳費期

1. 2023630日或之前提交申請之研究生新生:
2023年7月21日至2023年8月3日

2. 202371日或之後提交申請之研究生新生:
電子繳費單將於入住一個月後通過學生資訊系統(https://isw.umac.mo/siweb/) 發送至學生的帳戶。繳費期按電子繳費單上所示為準。

C. 注意事項:

1. 申請人務必按照電郵指示在指定期限內提交申請。

2. 任何過期申請將不獲受理,即使同學願意接受警告處分,學生資源處亦不會接納。學生資源處將保留最終之決定權。

3. 按照《澳門大學人員通則》第三十九條及《澳門大學人事管理規章》第七章第九條,澳門大學工作人員若於享有由澳大或任何公共實體所提供的房屋(包括學生宿舍,如研究生宿舍)則無權享有房屋津貼。

4. 房間分配由學生資源處安排。對於任何空置床位,學生資源處保留任何時候分配床位之最終決定權。

5. 所有新生只限申請雙人房宿位,新生之房間、樓層及室友將由學生資源處隨機分配。
