FED – A delegation from Peking University visited FED

On 14 January 2025, the delegation from Peking University (PKU) including Prof. Shengqing WANG, Director of the Office of Educational Technology Research and Application of the Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning (CETL); Prof. Qingqing YU, Engineer, CETL and Mr. Mengxuan TIAN, Officer from Office of International Relations visited the Faculty of Education (FED) of the University of Macau (UM). Prof. Lianghuo FAN, Dean of FED; Prof.  Mingming ZHOU, Associate Dean (Research) of FED; Prof. Barry Lee REYNOLDS, Programme Director of Master’s Programme; Prof. Yang GONG, Programme Coordinator of Bachelor of Education Programme (Chinese) and Prof. Lijia LIN warmly received the delegation. 

Dean Fan said FED highly expected to have academic exchanges with more schools, so as to promote the progress of education together. Subsequently, Prof. Mingming ZHOU, Associate Dean (Research) of FED, introduced the basic information of the faculty, including the composition of faculty members, curriculum and development vision. Prof. Shengqing WANG from the PKU delegation gave a detailed introduction of the basic situation of the CETL, and shared her views on the potential possibilities and prospects of the integration of artificial intelligence and education.

During the meeting, both sides had an in-depth discussion on a number of current issues related to education, and actively shared their experiences and insights with a view to finding a common development point of convergence. The exchange not only deepened mutual understanding, but also laid a solid foundation for subsequent communication and mutual cooperation.

        2025年1月14日，北京大學教師教學發展中心教育技術發展研究室主任王勝清，教師教學發展中心高級工程師于青青和國際合作部專案官員田孟軒訪問了澳門大學教育學院。受到院長范良火、副院長（研究）周明明、教育研究生課程主任 Barry Lee REYNOLDS、教育學學士學位課程統籌人（中文）龔陽及林立甲教授的熱情接待。

        范院長表示教育學院非常期待與更多學校進行交流，共同促進教育進步。隨後，副院長（研究）周明明介紹了學院的基本情況，包括師資組成、課程內容和發展願景等。北京大學王勝清教授就北京大學教師教學發展中心的基本情況作出了詳盡介紹，並分享了她對人工智慧與教育結合的潛在可能和前景。
 
        會上，雙方就教育當前的多個相關議題展開了深入探討，積極分享經驗和見解，以期找到共同發展的契合點。此次交流不僅加深了彼此之間的瞭解，並為雙方後續溝通交流，互相合作奠定了堅實的基礎。

On 27 November 2024, Mr. David DAY, Chief Executive of the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, visited the Faculty of Education (FED) at the University of Macau (UM). He was warmly received by Prof. Lianghuo FAN, Dean of FED; Prof. Chun Wai FAN, Assistant Dean (School Engagements and External Relations) and Director of the Centre for Information and Communication Technology in Education; Prof. Shulin YU, Programme Coordinator of the Master of Arts in TESOL and the Bachelor of Education Programme (English); and Prof. Yang GONG, Programme Coordinator of the Bachelor of Education Programme (Chinese). The meeting took place in room E33-1004 of FED, with Ms. Yuk Yee LAM, Director of the Alumni and Development Office at UM, also in attendance.

During the meeting, Dean Fan extended a warm welcome to Mr. Day and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Tin Ka Ping Foundation’s longstanding support of FED. Prof. Chun Wai FAN introduced the latest development of FED, with a particular focus on the selection of the Tin Ka Ping Scholarship in the faculty over the years. Mr. Day shared insights into the foundation’s ongoing initiatives in education, emphasizing its dedication to contributing to society and the nation through its mission to advance education as a foundation of national development. Both parties also explored opportunities for future collaboration in teacher training programs, aiming to jointly promote the development of education.

        2024年11月27日，田家炳基金會總幹事戴大為先生到訪澳門大學教育學院，受到院長范良火、助理院長（學校協作與對外關係）兼資訊及通訊科技教育研究中心主任范進偉、文學碩士學位課程統籌人（對母語為非英語人士的英語教學兼教育學學士學位課程統籌人（英文）于書林、教育學學士學位課程統籌人（中文）龔陽的熱情接待。交流會於澳大教育學院E33-1004會議室舉行，澳大校友及發展辦公室主任林鈺儀亦到場出席。

        會上，范院長對戴先生的到訪表示熱烈歡迎，並衷心感謝了田家炳基金會多年來對澳大教育學院的支持。范進偉教授介紹了澳大教育學院的最新發展，尤其提到學院的田家炳獎學金歷年來的評選情況。戴大為先生則介紹了田家炳基金會目前在教育領域所做的不同工作，強調基金會一直致力於回饋社會和國家，踐行教育興國使命。雙方亦深入探討了未來可以進一步合作的教師培訓項目，旨在共同推動教育事業的發展。

FED – A delegation of teachers and students from the College of Educational Sciences (Teachers College) (College of Preschool Education) at Yangzhou University, visited FED

From 26 to 27 November 2024, Prof. Mu LIU, Associate Dean of the College of Educational Sciences (Teachers College) (College of Preschool Education) at Yangzhou University, led a delegation of 32 teachers and students, visited the Faculty of Education (FED) at the University of Macau (UM) for an academic exchange. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Ping-Cheng WANG, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) of FED and Teacher Professional Development Advisor, and Prof. Chunlian JIANG, Programme Coordinator of Bachelor of Education Programme (Mathematics).

The exchange session took place on November 26 in room E33-3038 of FED. During the meeting, Prof. Wang and Prof. Jiang gave a comprehensive introduction to the development of FED. Two members of the Faculty of Education Students’ Association (FEDSA), student Ka I LAM and student Sin Teng PUN, introduced the basic information about FED Student Association and the learning environment for FED students. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on educational philosophies, student personal development, and other related topics. After the meeting, the delegation visited the FED building to further explore the learning environment and educational resources of FED.

On the following day, Prof. Jiang delivered a seminar on “Concept-Based Teaching of Mathematical Problem Solving and Teaching Problem-Solving Strategies” and “PISA 2022 Research Results” for the delegation. In the seminar, she introduced innovative methods in mathematics teaching and analyzed the performance of Macau students in the PISA international assessments, especially regarding their mathematical literacy. Prof. Jiang also answered questions posed by the students from Yangzhou University about the study schedule of students in Macau and the specific contents and analytical methods of the PISA test.          2024年11月26至27日，由揚州大學教育科學學院（師範學院）（學前教育學院）副院長劉牧教授帶領的師生代表團共32人到訪澳門大學教育學院進行研學交流活動，受到助理院長（學生事務）兼教師專業發展顧問王秉正、教育學學士學位課程統籌人（數學）江春蓮的熱情接待。

        交流會於26日在澳大教育學院E33-3038室舉行。會上，王教授和江教授向揚州大學的師生們全面介紹了學院的發展情況。澳大教育學院學生會的兩名幹事林嘉怡、潘倩婷同學介紹了學生會的基本信息和教育學院學生的學習環境。雙方就教育理念、學生個人成長等方面進行了深入討論。會後，代表團參觀了學院大樓，進一步了解澳大教育學院的學習環境和教育資源。

         次日，江教授就主題“基於數學問題解決的概念教學與問題解決策略的教學”和“PISA2022研究結果”開展專場講座，向代表團介紹了數學教學創新方法，並分析了澳門學生在PISA國際測試中的表現，特別是在數學素養方面。江教授亦回答了揚州大學學生提出的有關澳門學生學習時間安排、PISA國際測試的具體內容和分析方法等方面的問題。此次訪問為兩校的師生提供了寶貴的交流機會，有助於促進雙方在學術及研究上的交流和合作。
