As such, an annual University-level Teaching Excellence Award was established to recognize a distinguished member of the academic staff who has demonstrated excellence as an educator.

With the full support from the University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF), the University of Macau has established the “UMDF Named Professorships” and the “UMDF Professorial Fellowships” as significant honours to outstanding scholars in various disciplines. We are honored to have invited Professor Jun YU to speak at the upcoming UMDF Named Professorship Lecture. Prof. Yu is the UMDF Chair Professor of Finance and Economics and Dean of FBA. He will speak on the topic “Econometrics and Economic Surveillance”, which will discuss asset price bubbles, review a recursive method to analyse the bubble characteristics of various financial time series and highlight the relevance of financial bubbles.
