Dear Students and Colleagues,

Kindly be informed that the  “Charity Run of Caritas Macau 2024” will be held on 6 October 2024 (Sunday) in the morning. To cope with the above-mentioned activity, Security and Facilities Services Section (SFS) will implement the following special traffic arrangements from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm:

1. The driving lane near Faculty buildings along Alumni Avenue will be blocked, the Road Gate entrance near the Faculty of Science and Technology (E11) will therefore be temporary closed, drivers may access the private roads via other road gates during the aforementioned period;
2. Library North, Library Plaza, Library South, Central Avenue, Faculty 5th Lane, Alumni Avenue, Faculty 1st Lane and Lotus Avenue will be partially closed for the activity;
3. Below please find the activity Map provided by the organizer for your reference:

Please take note of the traffic signs and follow the instructions of on-site working personnel. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.

Academic Year 2024/2025 will soon be started. In order to provide convenience to our students for moving in with luggage, special traffic arrangement will be made during the following period:

Effective Period: August 12 to August 19, 2024

Time: 08:00 – 18:00 

The road gates on Residence Avenue (near Staff Quarters) and Alumni Avenue (near E11) will be opened to vehicles of student residents or their parents for unloading luggage at the unloading points along the inner roads. Please refer to the attached map for more details.

For safety’s sake, as well as protecting the rights of other road users, all vehicles on Alumni Avenue and Residence Avenue are not allowed to park or wait. It’s suggested to park your vehicle in the Visitor Car Parks P1, P3, P5 or P6 if parking is needed.

For vehicles without holding a specific entry permit, the driver is required to register his/her contact number with the on-site security guard or the entry request will be denied.

Please deliver the above message to related contractors and outlets. If there is any need for goods loading/uploading in the affected areas, please send email to sfs.security@um.edu.mo one day in advance. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.

The last but not the least, please follow the instruction of the on-site security guards.

Dear Students and Colleagues,

According to Article12 of Law noº3/2007, the local legislation regarding road traffic, use of scooter on public road is prohibited. Please pay attention that the area outside campus gate barriers is considered as public road, the public security authorities have the right to impose a fine of MOP600 on offender.

Furthermore, collection of discarded electric scooters for recycling is now available on Campus. For recycling of discarded electric scooters, please approach Security Centre at E7 (CTB), security service points of Residential Colleges (RC) and Postgraduate Houses (PGH).
