UM Student won 4 Golds, 4 Silvers, and 4 Bronzes at “2025 Macao Student Rope Skipping Championships”

2025 Macao Student Rope Skipping Championships, organized by Rope Skipping General Association of Macao, China, was held on 30 Mar in Macau. UM has sent 4 students to participate in the individual event. Finally, 4 students got 4 Golds, 4 Silvers, and 4 Bronzes medal.

Activity Highlights

UM Dragon Boat Team Fun Day was successfully held

The UM Dragon Boat Fun Day was held successfully on 29 Mar 2025 at UM Sports Complex (N8) and there was a total of 103 UM students participating in this activity.

Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organized the sports team Fun Day with the aim to let UM students to interact with the university team members and to experience team training through designated games.

In order to let the participants to know better about our UM Dragon Boat Team, beside introducing each team members, the team history and past achievements were also being presented. And in order to let participants to have a better understanding of this sport, the basic dragon boat rules and regulations were being introduced through instructional videos. After that, all participants experienced different kinds of training and game.

Both the participants and dragon boat team members enjoyed a lot in the Fun Day with positive feedback.

*出席整個活動及準時到達的同學，將獲得1個體育時數 (遲到、早退或活動期間離場超過十分鐘將不能獲得體育時數)。
Students who attend the WHOLE activity and arrive ON TIME will be given 1 PE hour (late arrival, early leave or leave the venue during the competition for over 10 minutes will NOT be given PE hour).

*同學進場和離場時，必須出示學生證作登記；出席的學生必須與登記的學生姓名一樣。
Students are required to do check in/out with UM student ID card, the name of the attended student MUST be the same as the registered name.

*確認報名結果將於活動日前發放到學生填寫的澳大電郵地址，請務必填寫正確的澳大電郵地址。
The email of registration result will be sent to your UM email address before the activity day, please make sure you fill in the CORRECT UM email address.

Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.) – “Integration of Physical and Moral Education: Fitness Assessors Course” was held successfully

Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.) – “Integration of Physical and Moral Education: Fitness Assessors Course” was held successfully on 1 Mar 2025 by Office of Sports Affairs and Macau China Society of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy.

There were 30 students participated in the training course. They were taught with various sports training knowledge and skills especially in the field of moral and fitness assessments. Students have been arranged to assist with fitness assessments for UM Sports Teams as their practical sessions of the course.

Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.) –
Integration of Physical and Moral Education: Fitness Assessors Course

Training Course Arrangement:

Introduction:	The certificate course (co-organized by Office of Sports Affairs and Macau China Society of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy) aims to provide opportunities for aspiring UM students to learn and assist in various sports training through the internship as a student coach. Participants could gain more skills, experience, knowledge and develop their ability in the field of moral and fitness assessment through this course. The objective of organizing the “Integration of Physical and Moral Education: Fitness Assessors Course” is to reinforce the competitiveness and enhance physical & health knowledge for the student, who would like to extend their interest to the profession.
Course Content:	Integrate moral education into physical fitness and promote related evaluation & Assessment (4 hours) Internship (6 hours)
Participants:	UM Students
Numbers of Participants:	30 (first-come, first-served basis)
Schedule:	Course: 1 Mar (Sat) 10:00-14:00 Internship: 6 hours

“Macau Under 18 (2nd Round) and Over 17 (2nd Round) Karate Championship 2024”

The “Macau Under 18 (2nd Round) and Over 17 (2nd Round) Karate Championship 2024” was organized by Macau Karate-do Federation, and it was held on 26 Oct. UM Karate Team sent 10 members to participate and won 14 medals (3 Golds, 5 Silvers and 6 Bronzes) in this competition.

UM Dragon Boat Team got the 3rd prize at “2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament”

The “2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament” co-organized by University of Macau and Foshan University, was successfully held on 13 Oct in Foshan, with the aim to promote Chinese traditional culture and to enhance the friendship between the youth of Macau, Guangdong and Hong Kong.

A total of 13 dragon boat teams from the Greater Bay Area higher institutions, over 212 student athletes had completed in the 200m & 500m events. The participating teams are:

UM Students and Staff Participated in 2024 National Day Celebration March

To celebrate the anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and to enhance the health of Macao citizens, the “2024 National Day Celebration March” activity has been held on 1 Oct at Golden Lotus Square. It was organized by Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government and is one of the yearly large scale sports activities in Macao.

Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) coordinated a total of 76 students and staff participated in walking event in this activity so as to enhance the healthy culture for UM members.
