Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.) – “Moral & Fitness Instructor Course” was held successfully

Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.) – “Moral & Fitness Instructor Course” was held successfully on 15 Oct 2023 by Office of Sports Affairs and Macau China Society of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy.

There were 29 students participated in the training course. They were taught with various sports training knowledge and skills especially in the field of moral and fitness assessments. Students have been arranged to assist with fitness assessments for UM Sports Teams as their practical sessions of the course.

通過這節課，我第一次學到了FMS和體適能的測試方法。在這幾天的測試中雖然很累，但也過得十分充實。我在測試中主要負責手握力和手掌長度的部分，在這過程中也看到許多優秀的運動員，這讓我覺得受益匪淺，希望下次還能有機會參加這樣的活動。

這次的培訓，我感受到測試員並不是一份容易的工作。由搬運儀器到安裝儀器再去拆卸儀器，每一步都有其程序，需要認真、專注及投入其工作！在大學當測試員的工作讓我感到非常興奮，為他人服務時，以誠懇及公正的態度來處理不同的問題，讓我獲益良多。希望日後多參與更多不同的活動，讓我能更好地全面發展。

此次測試督導的工作讓我體會到了老師們的辛苦，從製作PPT給學員上課到準備測試器材，佈置測試場地，分配測試員任務，整理測試表格。我覺得我做的還有很多不足，還有很多地方可以改進。能夠順利完成這次測試也離不開老師們的幫助，第一天測試時有很多沒有注意的地方到後面逐漸走上正軌，我覺得我進步了很多。如果以後有機會還要積極的參加這些活動。

Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.) –
“Moral & Fitness Instructor Course”

Training Course Arrangement:

Introduction:
 The certificate course (co-organized by Office of Sports Affairs and Macau China Society of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy) aims to provide opportunities for aspiring UM students to learn and assist in various sports training through the internship as a student coach. Participants could gain more skills, experience, knowledge and develop their ability in the field of moral and fitness assessment through this course.

The objective of organizing the “Moral & Fitness Instructor Course” is to reinforce the competitiveness and enhance physical & health knowledge for the student, who would like to extend their interest to the profession.
Course Content:
  • Integrate moral education into physical fitness and promote related evaluation & Assessment (4 hours)
  • Internship (10 hours)

 30 (first-come, first-served basis)

  • Course: 15 Oct (Sun) 15:00-19:00
  • Internship: 10 hours (Oct to Nov evenings)

【Sports Events and Fixtures】 UM Student won the 1 Gold and 1 Bronze at “31st FISU World University Games in Chengdu”

 UM Student won the 1 gold and 1 bronze
at “31st FISU World University Games”

 

The “31st FISU World University Games” was held in Chengdu, Sichuan from 27 Jul to 27 Aug 2023. There were over 6,500 athletes from 113 countries and regions participated in the championship this year.

The Macau sports delegation consists of 25 students from the University of Macau (UM), who are participating in various events including badminton, judo, martial arts, table tennis, swimming, taekwondo and track and field.

Wong Sam In (FST/HFPJC), a student from the UM, won a gold and a bronze medal in the women’s Nanquan and Nandao of the martial event respectively at the “31st FISU World University Games”. They are the first gold medal and the first medal for the Macau delegation at this year’s event. UM expressed congratulations to the athlete on her outstanding performance, which earned international honors for Macau and the university.

Macau Martial Arts Team Wong Sam In (FST/HFPJC) won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal in the women’s Nanquan and Nandao of the martial event

The “2023 Hong Kong Dragon Boat Short Course Races” was held on 1 Jul 2023 in Hong Kong. UM Dragon Boat Team sent 21 members to participate in the category of Post-Secondary Division.

There are a total of 9 teams namely

UM Dragon Boat Team won the 6th place at

“2023 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races – Macao University Student Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race”

 

The “2023 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races” was held successfully on 17, 18 and 22 Jun 2023. It was organized by Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government, SJM Resorts, S.A. and Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China, co-organized by Municipal Affairs Bureau of Macao SAR Government and Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau of Macao SAR Government. This year, UM Dragon Boat Team sent 28 members to participate Macao University Student Small Dragon Boat Race – Open Category – 200m, Macao Standard Dragon Boat Race – Open Category – 500m and Macao University Student Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race – Open Category – 500m.

On 17 Jun, UM Dragon Boat Team won the championship at the “Macao University Student Small Dragon Boat Race – Open Category – 200m” and this is the 7th consecutive year that Dragon Boat Team has won the champion at this competition.

On 22 Jun, they also secured 6th place at the “Macao University Student Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race – Open Category – 500m”.

Exchange Activity between UM Dragon Boat Team and Zhejiang University was held successfully

 

In order to create more exchange opportunity for UM Dragon Boat Team, the Dragon Boat Team of Zhejiang University is being invited to conduct exchange activity with our team before participating in “SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2023” and it was held successfully on 20 Jun.

There was a total of 22 participants from Zhejiang University. The activities included exchanging sports experience, visiting the campus and sports facilities, it creates opportunities for the UM Dragon Boat Team to have a better team bonding and enhance individual sports skills. This is a great platform for our students to exchange the training ideas and strengthen the connection with Zhejiang University. Friendship is also enhanced for both universities.

An exchange activity between UM Karate Team and Hong Kong University was held successfully on 14 Jun.

There was a total of 18 participants. The activity includes training and matches of kata and kumite, it creates opportunities for the UM Karate Team to have a better team bonding and enhance individual sports skills. It is expected the UM Karate Team could perform at their best in the upcoming competition.

The “2023 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races” was held on 17 Jun.
