警察總局現正招募2023年度民防志願者，招募人數為100人，歡迎年齡介乎18至55歲，具服務熱忱的澳門居民報名參與，為本澳民防工作的宣傳教育、災後援助及復原提供協助。

Dear colleagues and students,

The Unitary Police Service (SPU) is now recruiting up to 100 civil protection volunteers for 2023. Macau residents aged between 18 and 55 with a passion for service who are keen to serve and provide help in the promotion, education of civil defense, and post-disaster recovery assistance.

Application period: 1 March to 30 March 2023

Chinese Essay Competition – Internal Selection Result

早前由學生事務部舉辦的校內徵文活動，反應熱烈，收集到作品逾一百多份。經校內初審甄選，最終選出20篇優秀作品並獲推薦參加由澳門特別行政區政府及中央人民政府駐澳門特別行政區聯絡辦公室主辦之“我心中的文化安全”中文徵文比賽(大專組)。

The internal writing competition organized by the Student Affairs Office was well received with over 100 entries. After a preliminary selection process, 20 outstanding entries were selected and nominated to participate in the “我心中的文化安全” Chinese Writing Competition (Higher Education Group) organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR.

文章獲推薦者請於辦公時間內到E31-2006領取嘉許狀及學生事務禮品。
Nominees can collect the certificate of appreciation and gift at E31-2006 during office hours.

UM Volunteer Programme organized a visit tour to Civil Protection Operation Centre

日前澳大義工隊到訪民防行動中心，藉以增強同學對民防事務及防災工作的了解。活動期間，警察總局及民防行動中心代表為同學們介紹各類民防資訊，以及民防志願者之工作等，也與學生進行問答互動交流；同學們還參觀了民防行動中心的設施，了解到民防體系的協調機制及應急聯動的功能。

參與的同學表示活動加深對自身義務和責任的了解，及遇到突發公共事件之準備。澳大義工隊將持續舉辦不同形式的參訪及社區活動，讓同學們透過親身體驗，有助於了解本地社區志願工作，參與社會服務。

UM Volunteer Programme (UMVP) organized a visit to the Unitary Police Services and Civil Protection Operation Centre, to enhance the awareness of disaster prevention and the civil defense system in Macau.

During the visit, the representatives from the Unitary Police Services and Civil Protection Operation Centre shared various information on civil defense and the responsibility of Community Emergency Volunteers, and have interactive discussions among all participants. The students also visited the facilities of the Centre and learned about the functions and the coordination of the civil defense system.

The students expressed that the visit experience enhanced their understanding of their obligations and responsibilities, and the preparation for public emergencies.UMVP will continue to organize different kinds of visits and community activities to help students understand local community volunteering, and get involved in social services.
