Recruitment of Student Trainees for the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS)

FHS is now recruiting student trainees to support the publicity work of the Faculty Office. Please find the detailed information below. All current UM students are welcome to apply for the positions.

Scope of tasks

Position 1
  • Assist in organising seminars, symposiums, and other activities.
  • Assist in guest reception.
  • Assist with office daily operation and other admin tasks.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Position 2
  • Assist in promotional work via various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Weibo.
  • Assist in writing press release and promotional articles (English & Chinese).
  • Assist in translational work (English to Chinese or vice versa).
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Position 1

 
  • Punctual, proactive, detail-oriented. Polite and strong sense of responsibility with positive working attitude.
  • Good command of spoken Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) and English.
  • Good communication skills and willing to communicate with visitors and guests.
  • Able to take good photos using mobile phone cameras.
  • Prior experience in organising/leading visits, especially those within UM, is an advantage.
  • Available to work during summer recess is an advantage.

Position 2
  • Punctual, proactive, detail-oriented. Polite and strong sense of responsibility with positive working attitude.
  • Good command of written Chinese and English.
  • Ability/Experience in written translation between English and Chinese.
  • Having prior experience in managing social media accounts and conduct promotion via WeChat push will be prioritized for consideration.
  • Prior experience in written translational work is an advantage.
  • Available to work during the summer recess is an advantage

 Stipend and Work Hours:

  • Hourly rate: MOP 48 or 66 per hour, depending on the capabilities
  • Training hours: based on mutual consent
