What Skills Are Required for A Business Master's Programme?
Admission to top business schools is always competitive. They receive thousands of applications each year, but can only accept a few hundred outstanding candidates. The admissions committee usually selects a candidate according to the following criteria:
- Good cumulative GPA: evidence of academic ability over the years.
- High GMAT/GRE score: objective assessment of logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
- Taking additional courses in the relevant field: showing that you are self-motivated to broaden your knowledge.
- Participation in and contribution to clubs: showing that you have developed your teamwork and leadership skills.
- Winning awards in competitions: showing that you have achieved a higher level of skill in a particular area than your peers.
- Participating in long-term volunteer programmes: demonstrating interpersonal skills and an ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
- International exposure such as studying or working abroad: demonstrating multicultural understanding and transferable skills such as adaptability and maturity.
