CCE organises a Designated Training Course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for students of University of South China

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organised a 3-month Designated Training Course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for students of University of South China, this programme is combined with offline and online, offline part has completed from Jun 26th to 30th.

During the five-day off line training course, the students attended various professional lectures, topics include Big Data, Automation, Decision Systems and Artificial intelligence, Data Science and Data Visualization, Database and Data Mining Techniques, and Health Sciences and Data Analytics. The students also visited different units of UM, including the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, UM Wu Yee Sun Library and UM Gallery. Many of the students say they are impressed with the international teaching quality at UM, adding that they would like come back to UM for further studies.

The CCE will continue to develop training programmes with quality mainland universities to promote collaboration between UM and higher education institutions in Mainland China.

CCE and University of South China signed MOU to jointly launch training courses

To cope with the national talent development, aim to increase mainland students’ understanding of the University of Macau (UM) and enhance UM’s industry-university-research collaboration and executive education, the University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and University of South China recently signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the launch of training courses.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Claudia XU, Vice Rector (Administration) and Prof. Zhisheng JIANG, Vice Rector of University of South China.

CCE organises a Designated Training Course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for students of Taizhou Vocational & Technical College

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organises a Designated Training Course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for 40 students of Taizhou Vocational & Technical College during May 30th to 31st.

The two-day training course is rich in content, the topics include Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: Revolutionary Development, Crowd intelligence and System Support for Artificial Intelligence and Foundations of Artificial Intelligence: Deep Learning and Its Applications in Computer Science. The students also visited different units of UM, including the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, UM Gallery and State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City. We received positive feedback from students.

Taizhou Vocational & Technical College is a model higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province, High-level vocational colleges and professional group construction units in Zhejiang Province.

CCE continues to carry out high-quality training courses to strengthen educational cooperation between UM and universities in mainland.

CCE completes twentieth-phase subsidised training course

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and the Labour Affairs Bureau jointly held a new subsidised skill-oriented training course, which was a 40-hour course in Catering Management. The course was designed to help participants master the skill of catering management and enhance their competitiveness in the workplace. Those who have completed the entire course and have passed the examination will receive a certificate from the CCE.

CCE organises a training course on technological innovation and social and economic development for students of Huzhou Vocational & Technical College

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organises a training course on technological innovation and social and economic development for 30 students of Huzhou Vocational & Technical College during May 8th to 10th.

The three-day training course is rich in content, the topics include technological innovation and regional economic growth, big data opens up smart cities and internet characteristic finance and innovation and entrepreneurship. We received positive feedback from students.

Huzhou Vocational & Technical College is a model higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province, a model entrepreneurship college for general colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province, and a pilot unit of modern apprenticeship in Zhejiang Province.

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organised a 3-month Designated Training Course on Finance and Statistics for students of Yunnan University, this programme is combined with offline and online, offline part has completed from Jan 10th to 14th and the online part has also completed on Apr 15th.

During the five-day offline training course, the students attended various professional lectures, topics include Cross-cultural communication and global perspective, Application of blockchain and artificial intelligence in financial technology, how innovation and technology drive regional economic and Critical Thinking, Critical Decision Making and Leadership. The students also visited different units of UM, including the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, UM Gallery, and a residential college.

The online part has deeply explored the topics of finance and statistics, including financial engineering, securities investment, financial mathematics, financial derivatives, applied regression analysis and nonparametric statistics. Many of the students say they are impressed with the international teaching quality at UM and the success of Macao in the implementation of its epidemic prevention and control measures, adding that they would like come back to UM for further studies.
