CCE and University of South China signed MOU to jointly launch training courses

To cope with the national talent development and aim to increase mainland students’ understanding of the University of Macau (UM), the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and University of South China recently signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the launch of training courses.

It was signed by Dr. Claudia XU, Vice Rector (Administration), and Prof. Zhisheng JIANG, Vice Rector of University of South China.

CCE organises Training Course on Higher Education Teaching Staff in Macao for Zhejiang College of Construction

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organises Training Course on Higher Education Teaching Staff in Macao 2023 for 25 backbone teachers from  Zhejiang College of Construction during Feb 27th to Mar 2nd.  

The four-day training course is rich and compact in content. The course subjects include: Introduction to Construction Cost, Critical Thinking and Decision Making for Leaders and Innovation Management and Leader’s Crisis Management. During the on-campus visit, students visited different units of UM, including UM Gallery, Library and RC. We received positive feedback from students.

CCE continues to carry out training courses with high-quality mainland universities, strengthens educational cooperation between mainland universities and UM, and promotes learning exchanges between education administrators of the two places.

To promote continuous and lifelong learning and education in Macao, the University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) is going to hold the following training courses in March:

CCE organises two training courses on Medicine and Health Sciences for students of Guizhou Medical University

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organises two designated training courses on Medicine and Health Sciences for 139 bachelor, master and doctor students of Guizhou Medical University during Feb 4th to Feb 12th.  The students experienced the high-quality English teaching by UM professors and attended on-campus and off-campus visits. We received positive feedback from students.

The nine-day training course is rich and compact in content. The course subjects include: Precision medicine and big data – revolution and business opportunities,  Introduction to the basics and frontiers of gene and bioinformatics, Biology combined with applications of informatics and genomics, stem cell transplantation, Biomedical technology – mysteries of life science and health, Regulatory effect of nuclear factor activated leukocytes on signal transduction, Application and development of traditional Chinese medicine in the big health industry, Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine Informatization and Introduction to Drugs and Pharmaceutical Analysis. During the on-campus visit, students visited different units of UM, including UM Gallery, Library and RC. During the off-campus visits, the students visited the Kiang Wu Hospital. The students have a good understanding of the medical environment and nursing development in Macau.

Guizhou Medical University is the implementation university of the national “Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in Central and Western China”, and a key institution of higher learning in Guizhou Province. The two parties are continuing to promote educational cooperation and talent exchanges between the two places.

CCE completes eighteenth-phase subsidised training course

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and the Labour Affairs Bureau jointly held another subsidised skill-oriented training course, which was a 40-hour course in Retail Promotion Management. The course was designed to help participants learn practices in retail management and promotional skills in industry and to enhance their professional competencies. Those who have completed the entire course and have passed the examination will each receive a certificate from CCE.

CCE will launch different courses in the future to support the Macao SAR government’s economic relief measures and to meet the learning needs of Macao residents. For course updates and details, please visit the CCE’s website https://cce.um.edu.mo/.
