【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (3) – The MegaDanz Interest Course was held successfully

The MegaDanz Course recently concluded at the UM Sports Complex, and it was a resounding success. Designed to introduce participants to the dynamic world of MegaDanz, the course focused on enhancing both knowledge and skills in this vibrant dance fitness discipline.

Led by a certified MegaDanz instructor from the Yoga and Sports General Association of Macau, China, the sessions were infused with energy and enthusiasm. Participants enjoyed a lively group atmosphere, allowing them to immerse themselves in the unique movements and rhythms that define MegaDanz. This experience improved their coordination and fitness.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many reported that the course sharpened their dance abilities and significantly boosted their overall fitness and self-confidence. The vibrant environment fostered motivation, with participants encouraging each other and celebrating their progress.

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is thrilled with the success of the course. It remains committed to advancing initiatives that promote physical health and well-being within the UM community. We are already planning future events that will expand sports opportunities for both students and staff. Our goal is to encourage more individuals to explore the many benefits of diverse sports.

【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (2) – The Pilates Interest Course was held successfully

The Pilates Interest Course was held successfully at the UM Sports Complex. The course aimed to introduce participants to the benefits of Pilates and enhance their knowledge and skills in this discipline.

Certified Pilates instructor from the Yoga and Sports General Association of Macau, China provided personalized instruction in small class settings. Participants had the opportunity to experience the unique aspects of Pilates and learn techniques to improve their body control and flexibility.

The course received positive feedback, with participants expressing satisfaction and gratitude. Many attendees reported that it improved their Pilates skills and deepened their understanding of the practice. The OSA is pleased with the outcomes of the course and remains committed to promoting the advantages of sports engagement within the UM community.

【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (1) – Shuttlecock kicking experience class was held successfully

The Shuttlecock Kicking Experience class, organized by the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA), was a great success. This course featured eight sessions held every Monday and Wednesday from October 7 to November 4 at the N8 Sports Complex. The aim was to introduce participants to the benefits of traditional Chinese sports while enhancing their understanding and skills in this cultural practice.

A certified coach from the Macau Recreation & Sports Shuttlecock Association provided personalized guidance in an engaging group setting. Participants had the chance to experience the uniqueness of this sport and learn techniques for manoeuvring a shuttlecock, allowing them to connect with traditional Chinese culture in a unique way.

The course received positive feedback, with many participants noting that it helped them improve their skills and deepen their understanding of the sport.   3. 以電郵通知中籤者及繳費安排Draw result and course fee payment email
  4. 於指定日期前完成繳費Course fee payment settled before the deadline
  5. 發送最終確認郵件Course enrollment confirmation email

2. 電子抽籤E-random Draw

電子抽籤將於9月11日(星期三)進行。

3. 申請結果Application Result

申請結果將於9月12日(星期四),以電郵通知中籤者
Application results will be announced via email on 12 Sep (THU).

請中籤者於郵件中公告的限期前,按照指示,在澳大綜合體育館(N8的開放時間內前往正門服務台支付相關費用/押金。如果未能按時支付,其名額將分配給候補名單上的其他申請者。
For successful applicants, please settle the fee/deposit at the Main Entrance Service Counter, G/F, UM Sports Complex (N8), during opening hours and before the set deadline, as announced in the email. Otherwise, the quota will be allocated to other applicants on the waiting list.

候補名單 Waiting list
未中籤者將按照結果排序。如果有名額釋放,將根據中籤的排序,以電郵通知候補人員及須於指定的限期前支付相關費用。
Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent out according to the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

備註Notes:

    • 僅在繳付完相關費用後,才視為申請已獲確認。Successful enrollment will be confirmed upon payment.
    • 為更好地善用有限的資源,一旦申請已獲確認,請按時出席相關的課程。For better use of resources, kindly attend all registered classes on schedule once enrolment is confirmed.
    • 課程是否成功開班將取決於參與的人數。如未能成功開班,已交的費用將會退回。The confirmation of a class is dependent on the number of participants. If a class is cancelled, the fee will be refunded accordingly.
    • 一般情況下,費用一經收取後恕不退還。The registration fee is not refundable after payment under any circumstances in general.

2. 電子抽籤E-random Draw

電子抽籤將於9月11日(星期三)進行。

3. 申請結果Application Result

申請結果將於9月12日(星期四),以電郵通知中籤者
Application results will be announced via email on 12 Sep (THU).

請中籤者於郵件中公告的限期前,按照指示,在澳大綜合體育館(N8的開放時間內前往正門服務台支付相關費用/押金。如果未能按時支付,其名額將分配給候補名單上的其他申請者。
For successful applicants, please settle the fee/deposit at the Main Entrance Service Counter, G/F, UM Sports Complex (N8), during opening hours and before the set deadline, as announced in the email. Otherwise, the quota will be allocated to other applicants on the waiting list.

候補名單 Waiting list
未中籤者將按照結果排序。如果有名額釋放,將根據中籤的排序,以電郵通知候補人員及須於指定的限期前支付相關費用。
Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent out according to the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

備註Notes:

    • 僅在繳付完相關費用後,才視為申請已獲確認。Successful enrollment will be confirmed upon payment.
    • 為更好地善用有限的資源,一旦申請已獲確認,請按時出席相關的課程。For better use of resources, kindly attend all registered classes on schedule once enrolment is confirmed.
    • 課程是否成功開班將取決於參與的人數。如未能成功開班,已交的費用將會退回。The confirmation of a class is dependent on the number of participants. If a class is cancelled, the fee will be refunded accordingly.
    • 一般情況下,費用一經收取後恕不退還。The registration fee is not refundable after payment under any circumstances in general.

【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (5) – Yoga was held successfully

Sports Interest Course – Yoga, organized by the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA), was successfully held. The course consisted of 5 classes, each with 4 sessions, conducted every Wednesday and Saturday, between 2 March and 23 March, 6 March and 27 March, 3 April and 24 April, and 6 April and 4 May, respectively. The sessions took place at the N8 Sports Complex and aimed to introduce participants to the benefits of Yoga and enhance their knowledge and skills in this discipline.

Certified Yoga instructors from the Yoga and Sports General Association of Macau, China provided personalized instruction in a lively group setting. Participants had the opportunity to experience the unique aspects of Yoga and learn techniques to manoeuvre their bodies effectively.

The course received positive feedback, with participants expressing satisfaction and gratitude. Many attendees reported that it not only improved their Yoga skills but also deepened their understanding of this sport. The Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) is delighted with the success of the course and remains committed to promoting the advantages of engaging in sports to the UM community.

【Sports Activity】: The Yoga Salon Experience was held successfully

The Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) and the Yoga and Sports General Association of Macau, China (中國澳門瑜伽體育總會) co-organized a successful event “The Yoga Salon Experience” on Wednesday, 24th April 2024.

The Yoga Salon Experience consisted of two sessions of an experiential class, which received an overwhelming response with over 200 applicants. During the class, participants had the opportunity to explore the unique benefits of yoga and acquire safe techniques to relax their bodies. The instructors fostered a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, ensuring participants felt comfortable and confident in their practice.

The Yoga Salon Experience provided a platform for individuals to explore the benefits of yoga and discover ways to incorporate it into their daily lives. The success of this event exemplifies the integration of yoga into diverse settings, showcasing its positive impact on overall well-being.

OSA is delighted with the outcome of the event and remains dedicated to promoting the benefits of sports engagement within the UM community.

【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (3) – Pilates was held successfully

Sports Interest Course – Pilates, organized by the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA), was successfully held. The course consisted of 10 sessions, conducted every Tuesday and Friday, between 12 March and 16 April. The sessions took place at the N8 Sports Complex and aimed to introduce participants to the benefits of Pilates and enhance their knowledge and skills in this discipline. 

Certified Pilates instructors from the Yoga and Sports General Association of Macau, China provided personalized instruction in a lively group setting. Participants had the opportunity to experience the unique aspects of Pilates and learn techniques to improve their body control and flexibility.

The course received positive feedback, with participants expressing satisfaction and gratitude. Many attendees reported that it not only improved their Pilates skills but also deepened their understanding of the practice. The Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) is delighted with the success of the course and remains committed to promoting the advantages of engaging in sports to the UM community.

【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (5) – Snooker Beginner Course was held successfully

Sports Interest Course – MegaDanz, organized by the Office of Sports Affairs, was successfully held. The course consisted of two classes, each with four sessions, conducted on every Monday and Wednesday between March 11 and March 20, and March 25 and April 8, respectively. The sessions took place at the N8 Sports Complex and aimed to introduce participants to the benefits of MegaDanz and enhance their knowledge and skills in this dance fitness discipline.

Certified MegaDanz instructors from the Yoga and Sports General Association of Macau, China led the sessions in a lively group setting, providing energetic and engaging experiences. Participants had the opportunity to learn the unique style and movements of MegaDanz, while also improving their coordination, rhythm, and overall fitness.

The course received positive feedback, with participants expressing enjoyment and satisfaction. Many attendees reported that it not only improved their dance skills but also increased their fitness levels and boosted their confidence.
