Oracle database server has been upgraded

We would like to announce that Oracle database server has successfully been upgraded to the new Oracle Database Appliance X10 and is now fully operational as of 1 March 2025.
The database serves as the central repository for all our critical application systems at UM, processing over hundreds of millions of records daily. The hardware upgrade is expected to deliver significant improvements in performance. The version update will better support our academic and administrative operations, providing reliable support for all applications and systems accessing the database. Additionally, this upgrade positions us well to accommodate future growth and development.
We are committed to continuously enhancing the performance, security, and reliability of our systems.

謹此通知 Oracle 資料庫伺服器已成功升級至新的 Oracle Database Appliance X10，並於 2025 年 3 月 1 日正式投入運行。
作為澳門大學所有關鍵應用系統的中央資料庫，每天處理超過數億筆記錄。硬件升級預計將帶來顯著的性能提升。版本更新將更好地支持我們的學術和行政運作，並為所有存取資料庫的應用程式和系統提供可靠的支援。此外，這次升級也讓我們能夠更好地應對未來的增長和發展。
