Preparation for your Interview

面試前的準備工作

Every interview is a valuable opportunity and good preparation is the key to a successful interview. We have some suggestions for graduates:

  • Research the company and the requirements of the position. Although this is often heard or repeated, we are still surprised by the number of students who don’t know enough about the company.
  • Practice your introduction. This is usually the first question of the interview and forms an important part of the first impression you make on the employer. Remember to tell the employer about your strengths and why you are the right person for this job.
  • Prepare appropriate formal attire. Although some companies don’t require employees to dress formally for work, as a job seeker you should dress formally to show that you are taking this interview seriously.
  • Take care of your appearance. Male students should shave before the interview, female students should not wear heavy make-up. Please note that this applies not only to face-to-face interviews but also to online video interviews.

每次面試機會都非常難得，做好充分準備是面試成功的關鍵。我們有一些建議給各位畢業班的同學：

  • 詳細了解面試公司的狀況以及應徵工作的要求。這雖然是老生常談，但我們發現還是有很大一部分同學在面試前對公司的了解並不足夠。
  • 好好練習自我介紹。這通常是面試的第一條問題，也是你給僱主留下第一印象的重要組成部分。切記要向僱主介紹你的優勢，以及為何你是這份工作的合適人選。
  • 準備合適的正裝。雖然有些公司並不要求員工著正裝上班，但作為面試者，你還是應該穿著正裝，以示你對這次面試的重視。
  • 注意自己的儀容。男生應該剃鬚，女生則不應該化濃妝，請注意這不僅適用於現場面試，也適用於線上視像面試。

上海2025年港澳台青年學生實習計劃

2025 Shanghai Internship Programme for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Region Students 

各位同學：

茲通知上海海外聯誼會將暑期舉辦『2025年港澳台青年學生實習計劃』。

詳情如下：

主辦單位：上海海外聯誼會

參加資格：澳門大學在讀非畢業班並且為港澳台永久性居民的學生 (本科、碩博均可)

實習時間：2025年6月底及2025年7月初
(實習分為不同批次，每批次為6週左右，實習計劃除崗位實習外、還包括社會考察參訪、座談交流等活動)

報名截止日期：2025年2月16日

名額： 10人

住宿： 住宿及住宿費用由主辦方安排及承擔。 

甄選過程：

1.學生報名 → 2.生涯發展中心進行履歷分析及面試 (會通知通過履歷分析的申請者進行面試) → 3.實習單位面試 (實習單位會與申請者進行實習面試) → 4.通知結果 (最終錄取結果由主辦方決定及通知)

Dear Students,

The Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association will organize the “2025 Internship Program for Hong Kong and Macau  Students” this summer.

Details are as follows:

Organizer: Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association

Eligibility: Students who are non-graduating students of the University of Macau and permanent residents of Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan Region (undergraduate or postgraduate students are acceptable)

Internship Date: Late June or Early July 2025
(The programme has different batches with different starting dates, which will last around 6 weeks and include visits, seminars, etc.)

Application Deadline: 16 Feb 2025

Quota: 10 students

Accommodation: Accommodation and accommodation expenses will be arranged and borne by the organizer.

Selection process:

1. Student Registration→ 2. Resume Review and interview by the Career Development Centre (Applicants who pass the resume review will be notified to attend the interview ) 3. Interview by the internship provider (the company will conduct interview with the applicants) → 4. Notification of Result (the final result will be decided and notified by the organizer)

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. To ensure that the applicant completes the internship activities and to avoid negative impacts on UM due to withdrawal, if the applicant withdraws from the internship or fails to complete the internship programme for personal reasons after UM has confirmed the recommendation to the organizer, the applicant is required to pay an administrative fee of MOP1,500.
  2. Also, students, who do not provide a reasonable reasons and do not pay the administrative fee on time, will not be recommended to participate in the 2026 and 2027 internship programmes and may be subject to disciplinary action by the university.
  3. In the following three cases, no administrative fee is required:
    • 3.1 The applicant is not recommended by UM to the organizer during the selection process;
    • 32 The organizer is unable to arrange a placement according to the applicant’s preference;
    • 3.3 The applicant has completed the internship and submitted the internship report on time.

Tips for an online video interview

線上視像面試小貼士

When on-site interviews are not feasible, employers will use online interviews to evaluate job seekers. Is there anything that we need to be aware of?

  • Make sure your internet connection is stable；
  • Choose a quiet environment for the interview, and make sure that the objects and background shown in your camera are tidy and clean；
  • Dress formally and take care of your appearance；
  • Notify your family member if you plan to do the online interview at home to avoid disruptions;
  • Just like on-site interviews, be aware of your body language.

當無法進行現場面試時，僱主會以視像面試來考核求職者，那麼有哪些地方需要注意的呢？

  • 確保網絡連接穩定；
  • 選擇安靜的環境進行面試，並確保鏡頭顯示的物品和背景整齊及整潔；
