The Centre for Teaching and Learning Enhancement (CTLE) would like to cordially invite you to take part in a CTLE Online Half-day Professional Development Event on 8 February. The keynote speaker, Prof. Aline Germain-Rutherford from the University of Ottawa, will give a talk titled “Activate Active Learning,” which will be followed by a panel discussion with UM Faculty and a technology session.
Fundamentally, active learning involves including students in what they are learning, and fostering an environment that encourages them to reflect and think on those matters. In this half-day event, we will explore some of the strategies, techniques and examples which teachers can use to spark active learning in their classroom.
