澳大舉辦東亞研究型大學協會年會及董事會會議
澳門大學舉辦第30屆東亞研究型大學協會年度大會和第55屆董事會會議。來自東亞地區的15所著名大學的校長、副校長及代表聚首一堂，為推進區域學術研究合作出謀獻策，並就未來科研方向、提升人才培養等主題進行交流。
澳大校長宋永華表示，澳大於去年加入東亞研究型大學協會，並有幸成為董事會的一員。澳大將發揮所長，全方位推動東亞研究型大學的合作，為協會的發展出一分力，同時亦希望通過協會平台，深化對外交流，攜手推動開闢全球發展新空間。
會議回顧了過去一年東亞研究型大學協會的發展、合作情況及成果，總結了各成員高校舉辦的學術項目和學生活動，並就未來一年計劃組織的學術合作及交流活動進行討論。
東亞研究型大學協會是一個成立於1996年的區域性組織，成員為東亞地區17所著名研究型大學，包括北京大學、清華大學、復旦大學、南京大學、中國科學技術大學、澳門大學、香港科技大學、台灣大學、台灣清華大學、台灣陽明交通大學、日本東京大學、日本東北大學、日本東京工業大學、韓國首爾大學、韓國延世大學、韓國科學技術院和韓國浦項科技大學。該協會依託強勢的學術資源和相通的文化背景，為東亞地區的研究型大學提供相互交流及合作的平台，為高等教育和科學研究的發展作出貢獻，助力東亞地區開創經濟、社會、文化新紀元。

UM holds AEARU annual general meeting and board of directors meeting
The University of Macau (UM) held the 30th Annual General Meeting and the 55th Board of Directors Meeting of the Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU). The event brought together leaders and representatives from 15 renowned universities across East Asia to share their insights on promoting regional academic research collaboration, and to discuss future research directions and talent development.
Yonghua Song, rector of UM, said that UM, as a board member of AEARU, will leverage its strengths to promote cooperation among research universities in East Asia and contribute to the development of the association. He also expressed hope that UM, through AEARU, will deepen international exchanges and work together to explore new global development opportunities. During the meeting, the delegates reviewed the developments, cooperation, and achievements within AEARU over the past year, as well as the academic projects and student activities organised by the member universities. They also discussed plans for academic collaboration and exchange activities for the upcoming year.
