Moon Chun Memorial College, University of Macau, hosted ‘Welcome to MCMC’ Freshmen Show. After a week of orientation activities, the Freshmen Orientation has finally came to a successful conclusion. As the freshmen show concluded the week, students displayed passion and enthusiasm on stage, showcasing creativity and cultural integrations. Let’s relive these vibrant and heartwarming moments together.

The five Houses—St Paul’s, Mandarin, Dom Pedro V, Camões, and Guia—made their debuts with distinct styles, while the HA team delivered a surprise performance. The vibrant spirit of the new academic year, accompanied by the College motto, slowly unfolded within the college.

“The Trajectory of Growth” by St Paul’s House connects childhood to university aspirations through five acts, featuring playful dances, youthful dramas, and the final act, “New Beginnings and Aspirations” resonating with the growth of every new student.

“Wow Mandarin” by Mandarin House blends tradition with trends, mixing opera with rap, classical with electronic music. The Z generation uses fresh expressions to revitalize traditional culture, while also conveying their vibrant intentions towards new partners.

 “The beginning” by Dom Pedro V House turns the stage into a youthful party, featuring elegant duets, energetic group dances, interspersed with chorus and group dancing, brimming with the passion and vitality of newcomers, and reflecting the warmest welcome.

“Carnival Euphoria” by Camões House brings together dancers and musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, blending African drumbeats with Latin melodies to create a borderless carnival atmosphere through music and dance, transcending language barriers.

“Journey of Time: Past, Future, and Present” by Guia House is a medley of nostalgic golden oldies and futuristic dance. Followed by a recitation of “Cherish the Moment,” the performance connects the past, present, and future, conveying not only warmth but also the promise of accompaniment.

The final show by the House Association was a delightful surprise. They kicked off the evening with vibrant Latin dance, followed by a heartfelt rendition of “Heart Wall.” The performance concluded with a lively group dance, warmly welcoming the newcomers to the community.

The day concluded with a warm welcome banquet, where everyone savored delicious food and felt the genuine hospitality of the MCMC team as they celebrated the blossoming of youth. As we embark on this journey at Moon Chun Memorial College, may we continue to write our story together, filled with love. Welcome to MCMC!
