澳大校長宋永華於博鰲亞洲論壇談科技競爭與合作

澳門大學校長兼智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室主任宋永華應邀出席博鰲亞洲論壇2023年年會,並於「科技競爭與合作」分論壇發表演講,強調了高等教育和人才發展在技術進步中的關鍵作用。

博鰲亞洲論壇2023年年會主題為「不確定的世界:團結合作迎挑戰,開放包容促發展」,有來自50多個國家和地區、約2,000名國家領導人、高官、政要、國際和地區組織負責人、商業領袖、學者等參加,共同探討後疫情時代的世界發展方向,促進國際團結與合作。

在「科技競爭與合作」分論壇上,宋永華指出,面對現在的科技競爭與合作,首先應認識到競爭是人類社會各個方面的進步基因之一,科技方面的競爭長期存在,競爭能夠促進高水平高質量發展,則合作能促進共同發展,應成為主旋律;其次,要正確處理競爭與合作的關係,競爭必須是有規則、良性競爭,合作則需考慮共贏的情況下才能長久持續。他進一步指大學和高等教育機構在培養創新人才和推動科學研究方面發揮著至關重要的作用,特別是在基礎科學研究方面;並強調大學及高等教育機構成爲國際合作和交流開放包容平台的重要性,大學和高等教育機構應利用其獨特優勢促進全球人才發展和跨文化理解。他以澳大為例,提出地處澳門的澳大擁有「一國兩制」的制度優勢及中西交融的傳統,並以具體案例展示了澳大作為對外開放交流的平台作用。

此外,宋永華還於央視新聞“博鰲聲音”中,探討智慧城市的建設及能源、交通、環境及公共治理等議題。他指出,智慧城市利用先進信息、通信技術和人工智能,可實現智慧化的運營和服務,以期實現“以人為本、宜居、綠色、韌性、可持續發展”的創新型城市。他鼓勵產學研一體化,共同為澳門經濟適度多元及大灣區智慧城市建設作出貢獻。

Yonghua Song, rector of the University of Macau (UM) and director of the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, attended the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2023 and delivered a speech in a session themed ‘Technological Competition and Cooperation’ to stress the role of higher education and talent development in facilitating technological advancement. In his speech, Song said that competition between technology organisations can help to promote technological advancement while cooperation between them can facilitate common growth. He further pointed out the important role of higher education institutions in producing innovative talent and promoting scientific research, as well as facilitating international cooperation and exchange. In addition, Song discussed the various aspects of smart city development in a special programme produced by CCTV News. With the theme ‘An Uncertain World: Solidarity and Cooperation for Development amid Challenges’, the BFA Annual Conference was attended by about 2,000 people from more than 50 countries and regions, including national leaders, senior officials, politicians, heads of international and regional organisations, business leaders, and scholars.
