澳大教授當選國際工程與技術學會會士

澳門大學微電子研究院、模擬與混合信號集成電路全國重點實驗室、科技學院電機及電腦工程系教授林智聲獲選為國際工程與技術學會會士(IET Fellow),以表彰其在工程技術及科研創新領域的傑出貢獻。

國際工程與技術學會(Institution of Engineering and Technology, IET)是工程技術領域全球領先的專業學會,擁有超過150年歷史,目前在全球150個國家及地區擁有17萬名會員,是全球規模第二大、歐洲最大的國際專業學會。

林智聲致力於電能高效轉換及節能技術方面的研究,包括電力電子變換器、無線電力傳輸、電源管理集成電路、電能質量補償節能裝置等,目前合著/編輯五部國際專著,發表超過220篇期刊雜誌和會議論文,並擁有15項授權美國及中國發明專利。其成果於學術界與工業界皆發揮深遠影響,一直積極推動電能轉換技術的創新,研發成果已投入實際應用。自2020年起,林智聲連續五年入選美國史丹福大學發佈的“全球前2%頂尖科學家”排名。他亦擔任《IEEE電力電子期刊》、《IEEE工業電子期刊》(獲2024年度傑出副主編獎)、《IEEE電力電子新興與精選主題期刊》及《IEEE工業電子學會開放期刊》副主編、IEEE-IES電力電子技術委員會副主席等職務;他同時著重人才培養,持續為澳門及國際工程教育注入新活力。

UM professor elected fellow of Institution of Engineering and Technology

Lam Chi Seng, professor in the Institute of Microelectronics, the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Macau (UM), has been elected a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). This is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to engineering technology and scientific innovation.

IET is one of the world’s leading professional societies for engineering and technology, with a history spanning over 150 years. With over 170,000 members across 150 countries and regions, it is the second-largest professional society in the world and the largest in Europe.

Prof Lam’s research focuses on high-efficiency power conversion and energy-saving technologies, including power electronic converters, wireless power transfer, power management integrated circuits, and power quality compensators. He has co-authored or edited five international monographs and published over 220 journal articles and conference papers. Prof Lam also holds 15 patents in the US and China for his inventions. His research findings have had a significant impact on academia and industry, driving innovation in power conversion technologies with outcomes already in practical use. Prof Lam has been included in the World’s Top 2% Scientists List by Stanford University for five consecutive years since 2020. He currently serves as an associate editor for several IEEE journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (awarded the 2024 Outstanding Associate Editor Award), IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, and IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society. He is also the vice-chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Power Electronics Technical Committee. In addition, Prof Lam is dedicated to nurturing talent, injecting new vitality into engineering education in Macao and beyond.
