On 5^th November 2025, three “Two Laws” trainees from Moon Chun Memorial College, University of Macau delivered a trial lesson after completing a training course on the Constitution of China and the Basic Law of Macao SAR. The course was jointly organised by the university’s Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies, its ten residential colleges, and local association Divulgação da Associação de Lei Básica de Macau (ADLBM).

Hannah Wan began by outlining the relationship between the Constitutional Law and Basic Law and their significance, using a real-life case, the “Facial Recognition Dismissal Dispute” to illustrate the practical application of the two laws in everyday life. Wendy Yang then shared the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitutional Law and the unique advantages granted to Macao under the Basic Law, such as autonomy in education, economic development, and industrial growth. Lidia Lei approached the topic from a macro perspective, explaining the construction of the international order after World War II and its connection to China’s national security.

Finally, Ms. Zhong Qianqian, lecturer of Faculty of Law assessed the three participants’ performance during the session and provided professional feedback on the lecture content. This trial teaching activity not only showcased the participants’ solid grasp of the “Two Laws” but also highlighted the significant achievements of the training program in promoting constitutional and Basic Law education.
