MCM College: 2nd Master of Ceremonies Training Program

Supported by the University of Macau Student Affairs Office, Moon Chun Memorial College has successfully concluded its second Emcee Training Program. The program, which concluded on February 5, 2026, was designed to develop students’ public speaking and event-hosting abilities.

The training consisted of two workshops followed by a final practical assessment. The first workshop, led by Moon Chun Memorial College Emcee Team Captain Hazel Chan and Vice Captain Kawing Wu, focused on voice control, stage presence, and techniques for managing nerves. The second workshop covered event flow management, handling unexpected situations, and engaging effectively with an audience.
The program culminated in a simulated hosting session, where each participant designed and delivered a five-minute emcee segment based on an event scenario of their choice. Participants were evaluated on their speech delivery, confidence, event management, and improvisational skills. The judging panel included experienced hosts from the Student Affairs Office, Eunice Pang and Catarina Zhao, alongside the college’s Emcee Team leaders. Constructive feedback was provided to each student immediately following their presentation.

To foster a collaborative learning environment, the program also included a peer recognition segment, where participants voted anonymously for the peer they believed delivered the strongest performance. This activity encouraged mutual support and shared growth among attendees.
The program aligns with the college’s commitment to nurturing student confidence, communication skills, and leadership qualities. Participants who successfully completed the training will be inducted into the Moon Chun Memorial College Emcee Team and may be recommended to host events at both college and university levels.
This practical training equips students to apply their skills in real-world settings and prepares them to excel in future public-facing roles.
