澳門大學國旗儀仗隊於2018年5月4日成立，旨在秉持愛國愛澳的信念，繼承先輩遺志，弘揚愛國主義精神。為紀念國旗儀仗隊建隊五周年，適逢臨近五四青年節，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊舉辦系列活動，鼓勵隊員發揚五四精神，充分展現新時代青年奮發向上的精神面貌。

澳門大學國旗儀仗隊於2023年5月3日下午舉辦建隊五周年慶典暨表彰大會。典禮開始前席，現場氣氛已被澳大國旗儀仗隊融媒體所製作串聯的內地17間高校送上的祝福視頻作了暖身，為陸陸續續進場入席的來賓帶來喜慶氣氛。出席本次活動的嘉賓有澳門大學校長宋永華教授、學生事務副校長兼霍英東珍禧書院院長莫啟明教授、學生事務長彭執中先生、曹光彪書院院長劉潤東博士、鄭裕彤書院代院長黃承發教授、蔡繼有書院院長梁美兒教授、呂志和書院院長藍志雄教授、滿珍紀念書院院長張國祥教授、紹邦書院代院長譚錫忠教授、校長辦公室主任汪淇女士、校董會秘書長梁佳俊博士、學生輔導處處長蘇桂龍博士、學生發展處處長姚秀麗女士、學生資源處處長周佩貞女士。

澳門大學校長宋永華教授致辭，為慶典活動拉開序幕。宋校長表示，國旗儀仗隊作為愛國主義精神的體現，是愛國教育的重要載體。他對旗隊開展的愛國愛澳主題活動取得的佳績表示祝賀，鼓勵國旗儀仗隊隊員勇擔青春使命，成為國旗的守護者和國旗文化的傳承者。宋校長高度表揚旗隊對澳大和社會的貢獻，包括“澳大國旗儀式隊走進書院計劃”、“澳大國旗儀式隊走進澳門校園計劃”、中國共產黨第二十次全國代表大會、為全民國家安全教育日於橫琴哈羅禮德學校進行升國旗儀式，以及澳大國旗儀仗隊融媒體的成立。

“2021／2022學年國旗儀仗隊最佳積極支持書院獎”由呂志和書院獲得。宋永華校長對此前國旗儀仗隊舉辦的隊內儀仗司儀技能賽中表現傑出的分隊和隊員頒發了最佳執行分隊和最佳特崗個人獎項。莫啓明副校長則頒發任命書予執行隊長、副隊長及旗隊骨幹成員。彭執中事務長向融媒體成員頒發委任書及向澳門大學國旗儀仗隊的教官周昌華先生頒發感謝狀，以感謝他對國旗儀仗隊的指導。校長辦公室主任汪淇女士，為新隊員代表即訓練標兵獲得者頒發委任書及肩章。學生資源處處長周佩貞女士為國旗儀仗隊退役隊員頒發證書，感謝她們對旗隊發展做出的巨大貢獻。

隨後，慶典上播放了國旗儀仗隊歷時一年開展“走進書院”系列活動的紀念視頻，紹邦書院合唱團亦帶來精彩的合唱《我和我的祖國》，慶祝旗隊開展的“走進書院”國旗文化宣傳系列活動順利收官。同時，慶典也播放了澳門大學國旗儀仗隊五周年紀念視頻，帶領在場觀衆回顧這支被央視稱為“澳大第一天團”的五年護旗生涯。

回顧過去，澳門大學國旗儀仗隊已成立五載，在學校和社會各界的大力支持下，旗隊從建隊初期到如今成爲一支具有一定規模的優秀隊伍；從“雙手護國旗，鐵肩承兩制”到“鑄造澳門大學最靚麗的風景線”再到“心懷家國，身行儀仗，思重學業，素能綜合”，體現了每屆隊員力求旗隊更好發展的理想與規劃。

The UM National Flag Team (NFT) was established on 4^th May 2018 to uphold the belief of patriotism and love for Macau, to inherit the legacy of our ancestors, and to promote the spirit of patriotism. To commemorate the 104^th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement and the 5^th anniversary of NFT, they organized a series of activities to encourage its members to carry forward the spirit of May Fourth and fully demonstrate the vigorous spirit of young people in the new era.

On 3^rd May 2023, the NFT held the 5^th Anniversary Celebration and Commendation Ceremony. Prior to the commencement of the ceremony, the NFT Media Team presented a video featuring greetings from 17 universities in the Mainland China. The inclusion of this video created a festive atmosphere for those in attendance. The Rector of the University of Macau, Prof. Song Yonghua; the Vice Rector (Student Affairs) and HFPJC Master, Prof. Mok Kai Meng; the Dean of Students, Mr. Paul Pang; CKPC Master, Dr. Lau Yun Tung; CYTC Master, Prof. Alfred Wong; CKYC Master, Prof. Leung May Yee; LCWC Master, Prof. Desmond Lam; MCMC Master, Prof. Cheung Kwok Cheung; SPC Master, Prof. Tam Sik Chung; Director of the Rector’s Office, Ms. Carol Wang; Secretary General of the UMDF Board Members, Dr. Chris Leung; Head of Student Counselling Section,  Dr. Elvo Sou; Head of Student Development Section, Ms. Stephanie Io; and Head of Student Resources Section, Ms. Anita Chau attended this ceremony.

The Rector, Prof. Song Yonghua gave a speech to commence the celebration. Rector Song said that NFT, which is an important carrier for patriotic education, acts as the embodiment of patriotism. He congratulated the NFT for the success of the patriotic activities and encouraged the NFT members to take up the youthful mission and become the guardians of the national flag and the inheritors of the National Flag culture. Rector Song also appreciated the NFT new contributions both inside the campus and to the society throughout AY22/23: Talk Series for “Walking into RC”, Talk Series for “Walking into Macao Schools”, Live Streaming for the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Flag Raising Ceremony for the National Security Education Day held in Hengqin and the establishment of UM NFT Media Team.  

“The Award for the Most Supportive College” in AY21/22 was presented to LCWC by Rector Song. Rector Song also presented the awards for the best execution team and the best individual of special post to the team members with outstanding performance in the previous honoring guard skills competition held by the NFT. Vice-rector (Student Affairs), Prof. Mok Kai Meng presented the Certificate of Appointment to the Executive Captain and the Vice-captains. Moreover, Mr. Paul Pang presented Certificate of Appointment to UM NFT Media Team and a Certificate of Appreciation to the NFT Coach, Mr. Zhou Chang Hua for great gratitude of his guidance to the NFT. Director of the Rector’s Office, Ms. Carol Wang presented the Certificate of Appointment to the new NFT members whereas the Head of the Student Resources Section, Ms. Anita Chau presented the Certificate to the graduating NFT members.

After that, a video commemorating the year-long NFT Seminar Series of “Walk into Colleges” was screened, then SPC Choir presented the song of “My People, My Country” to celebrate the successful closure of the NFT Seminar Series “Walk into Colleges. At the same time, the video commemorating the 5^th anniversary of NFT was played, leading the audience to review the five-year flag honoring guard career of this team, and was called “the UM First Band” by CCTV.

Looking back, the UM NFT has been established for five years. With the support of the University and the community, the team has grown from the early stage of its establishment to become an outstanding team of a certain scale; from “protecting the National Flag with both hands and bearing the two systems with iron shoulders” to “creating the most beautiful scenery of UM” and then to “loving the country with heart, acting the honor guard with body, thinking the importance of studies, integrating the qualities above”, it embodies the ideal and planning of each team member striving for better development of NFT.

Remarks: In the event of any discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
