Swimming team member, WANG XIAOYU, was interviewed as star athlete

UM Men’s Basketball Team won Champion	UM Women’s Volleyball Team won 1st runner-up
UM Women’s Basketball Team won 2nd runner-up	UM Swimming Team was awarded “Best Exchange”

UM Sports Teams captured 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze at “2023 University Sports Carnival”

The University of Macau was being invited to participate in the “2023 University Sports Carnival” from 8-15 August at Fudan University, this competition was organized by Fudan University. There were 9 universities from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan being invited to participate in the event of badminton, basketball, soccer, swimming and volleyball as shown below:

UM has sent Men’s Basketball Team, Women’s Basketball Team, Women’s Volleyball Team and Swimming Team to participate in basketball, swimming and volleyball event, and the competition results were shown as follows:
– UM Men’s Basketball Team got Champion
– UM Women’s Volleyball Team got 1st Runner-up
– UM Women’s Basketball Team got 2nd Runner-up
– UM Swimming Team was awarded “Best Exchange”

Aside from sports competitions and co-training with other universities, the host university has successfully organized a series of engaging events and activities. These include a warm welcome dinner to greet the participants, an exciting opening ceremony to officially kick-off the activity, a campus orienteering activity to explore Fudan University, a thrilling water balloon fight to enhance team bonding as well as an esteemed award ceremony and farewell dinner to honor stuent-athletes’ outstanding achievements.

Moreover, our swimming team member, WANG XIAOYU, was interviewed as star athlete to share his own sports path and experience and was promoted by Wechat official account “复旦外交流”.
