Second Chinese Culture Festival: “A Beautiful Journey” Documentary Screening of Na Tcha Customs and Beliefs

第二屆中國文化節系列活動:《同路》哪吒信俗文化紀錄片放映會

In response to the Second Chinese Culture Festival held by Centre for Chinese History and Culture (FAH), Moon Chun Memorial College, University of Macau, collaborated with  Chinese Cultural Industries Promotion Association and Na Tcha Temple Association, to  co-organise “A Beautiful Journey” documentary screening of Na Tcha Customs and Beliefs on 14th November 2023 at the college’ Fellows’ Salon.  This was followed by post-screening talk, which was held to promote students’ understanding of Macao’s Na Tcha customs and beliefs culture. There were forty attendees, including: Prof. Kwok-cheung Cheung, Interim Master of Moon Chun Memorial College, Prof. Zhu Shoutong, Director of UM Center for Chinese History and Culture, Mr. Paul Pang, UM Dean of Student, Mr. Waison Ho, Director General of the Chinese Cultural Industries Promotion and producer of the documentary, Mr. Yip Tat, Chairman of Na Tcha Temple Association, Steven U, director of the documentary.

This documentary shows the preparation and after Feast of Na Tcha. Ho pointed out that Macau has its own unique festive cultural content, which is attractive to overseas tourists, and his Association hopes to use this documentary to promote the development of Macau’s culture, tourism and economy. U said that this documentary connects the nostalgia of the neighborhood with the cultural heritage and preservation spirit of Na Tcha’s customs and beliefs, demonstrating the vitality and energy of customs and beliefs heritage through the lens. Yip said that the preservation of Na Tcha religious and customary culture does not only rely on individual strength, but also requires the help of the masses and collective unity to move forward. Zhu said that Na Tcha Customs and Belief of Macao is a unique local folk belief, which was inscribed on the “National Intangible Cultural Heritage List” by UNESCO in 2014. This is something that Macau people should feel confident and proud of.

為響應人文學院中國歷史文化中心舉辦第二屆中國文化節,澳門大學滿珍紀念書院與中華文化產業促進會合辦,大三巴哪吒廟值理會協辦之《同路》哪吒信俗文化紀錄片放映會於2023年11月14日在滿珍紀念書院學人堂舉行,並設映後座談會,藉此推動學生認識本澳哪吒信俗文化。參與者有四十人,包括:滿珍紀念書院代院長張國祥教授、澳大中國歷史文化中心主任朱壽桐教授、澳大學生事務長彭執中先生、中華文化產業促進會理事長及該紀錄片監制何偉新、澳門大三巴哪咤廟值理會會長葉達、該紀錄片導演余志雲。

此紀錄片展示籌備哪吒誕前後所有過程細節。何偉新指澳門有其獨特的節慶文化內容,對海外遊客具有吸引力,期望藉此紀錄片推動澳門社區文旅經濟發展。余志雲稱是次紀錄片將街坊鄉情與哪吒信俗的文化底蘊及傳承精神連結一起,透過鏡頭創作展示信俗傳承的活力及能量。葉達表示哪吒信俗文化的傳承不單依靠個人力量,還需借助群眾、集體團結才能繼續前行。朱壽桐教授表示澳門哪吒信俗是本地別具特色的民間信俗,於2014年被聯合國教科文中組織列入《國家級非物質文化遺產名錄》。這是澳門人應該感到自信和自豪的事情。
